Which is let's face it his modus operandi. Sorry, but that is what he always does. Trump is incapable of even realizing when he is lying, so that happens.
I do agree with the lawyer though, how can you protect a client who does that? Impossible, and this is a different case than all those Trump University and other cases, where he ended up settling.
The purpose is to get at the truth, so all the obfuscation and denying will do him no good if the evidence is there.
You're right, in his best interests Trump should NOT talk to Mueller. However, in our best interests, I hope he does.
No twisting, just recording. Everything Trump says every day, on video, recorded, more than half the stuff is absolute flat out lies and he has been told not to do this, but he does.
There is such a thing as objective truth, though, and if anyone will get at it it is Mueller.
