I don't think what you said is fair to Grandma. She wasn't judging, she's just like a lot of people from the "older" generation who didn't marry until they knew they were stable enough, didn't dump their kids in daycare, didn't divorce, remarry, divorce, shack up, all the while putting the kids in the middle of big messes. It's just a big mess out there these days, and I feel sorry for the children.
As to if someone gets pregnant out of wedlock, then does it right and gets married and stays married, kudos to them! They did it a little backwards, but they fixed it.
