RV'ing is about the outdoors, so if you can possibly move to where the climate is fairly warm year round, that might be good. You can open the place up and not feel so cramped.

Try to think ahead a bit--when the time is right, consider being able to be mobile. Many RV'ers go south in the winter and north in the summer. Perfect weather year round. You can open up the windows. Gas is expensive, but it's only twice a year. They do have RVs that have kick-outs on both sides, and they're quite nice and not as cramped as ones that don't. You can buy gently used RVs--some people purchase one for just one or two vacations, then sell it.

If possible, try to go to a place/places where you're not on top of others.

Go on out there to RV shows if they have them in your area to educate yourself, then you can buy used elsewhere and know exactly what you'll need.

Best of luck! Let us know how you make out. FYI: These RVs have some pretty good storage space that you access from the outside. You can bring lawn chairs, all sorts of things.
