I believe in Christ, not in Christianity - sm

"I know what Christianity is but which version of Christianity you believe in is up to you. I find staying out of the churches is better than going to ones that seem pretty hypocritical. If you are a Christian, you know that God is in your heart, not a building."

There is only one Christ, not different versions. Yes, He resides in my heart, but the Bible also tells us not to forsake fellowship with other believers. Unfortunately, because we are all sinners, none of us will ever find a local church where there is not a degree of, at least perceived, hypocrisy. However, that is not an excuse to neglect meeting together to fellowship and worship God. Having said that, selecting a home church is a serious decision, and it is best to do so prayerfully.
