The article you posted discusses a Russian-owned steel mill in Pennsylvania that could be adversely affected by the steel tariffs.

Please correct me if I'm misstating your point. I want to make sure I get this right.

You think Trump doesn't think things through because his tariffs could cause workers to be laid off from this Russian steel plant.

Is that correct?

First of all, why couldn't those laid off workers get jobs at one of the plants the article says US Steel is planning to open?

Is the left really trying to blame Trump for putting American companies ahead of Russian ones?

Here's the website for NLMK.

They employ 560 people in Farrell. The article also mentions how the town has lost steel jobs and population since the 70s due to increased global competition.

Isn't that part of the problem? Past policies made steel so cheap that only foreign companies could make a profit.

It sounds to me like he's doing what he said he would. Why do you feel sympathy for this global Russian corporation? I thought Russia was the enemy of the left. Aren't those steel workers colluding? People have lost jobs for less.

Here's a quote from the article:
"Some steel executives such as Miller say this is the ultimate irony: by acting ostensibly to protect U.S. steel jobs with sweeping tariffs, Trump will also kill off some steel jobs."

What if he kills off steel jobs from foreign-owned plants while creating more jobs at US plants?

Is it possible you didn't think about that before posting?
