it could be a matter of timing that your request has not yet been answered. Also, every good and perfect gift is from above. Do you realize that all the blessings you have enjoyed and do enjoy in your life are from God?

As for God's will, no one, not even ourselves, knows better than God what we need or when we need it.

"“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9

The creature cannot know himself better than his Creator does.

Even if we walk in perfect faith with Him (which none of us will do here on earth), we are still to look to Him for His perfect wisdom, knowing we are to depend on Him, worship Him, and honor Him as Lord. This can be so difficult when we are suffering. We are all tempted to take the reins away from Jesus, but this is a huge mistake and will often only prolong our suffering.

If a child wants ice cream a half hour before dinner, and the parent says, "No," that child may cry and kick and scream, fully convinced that ice cream is what he needs at that moment. The parent, of course, knows much better than the child what is best.

It sounds like you have the wrong idea about who should be Lord in our lives. It isn't us. I don't know anyone who does not wrestle with that at some point, but the correct attitude is the way to start. If we want to have the correct attitude, we need to know what God has to say about Himself, us, and our relationship with Him. You can get to know Jesus and have close fellowship with Him through reading the Bible, praying, and spending time with other believers. We endure enough suffering in this life without adding to it by refusing to recognize the sovereignty of the Lord.

I don't know your situation, so I can't comment on your specifics. However, I do know sometimes God allows us to endure suffering until we acknowledge our need for a savior and then accept Him as our loving Savior and Lord.
