concerted effort to maintain my appearance throughout the years. I have a current cut, wear makeup that enhances, not tons but enough to make me appear brighter, dress in a current style and not in clothing too young for me, but at every interview I am definitely sensing it. The interviews are short, mostly seem just polite, the ratio of interviews to applications submitted must be around 1%. While they don't ask DOB any longer, I notice many use as a required question the year you graduated high school. If they can't ask how old I am, how can they ask this question? I am on unemployment and receiving most of the benefit because the only job I've found is part time retail at minimum wage, at which I can only get 10 hours a week.
