It wasn't a warped version and we were never told by any instructor that communism is "a benevolent caretaker and pays for everybody's needs." Some do believe what Bernie said and some believed what Trump said and some believed what Hillary said. That's part of a democracy, people believe in different things. By the way, both my son and I didn't feel any of the candidates were electable, as did many other people I know but went for one that we thought was the least evil and that was Hillary. You may disagree with me and that is your right but most people I know that voted for either candidate felt the same as we did, you just had to pick the one you felt was the least evil.
