The digital sound that is embedded in the movies now days is so ear piercingly loud and you need major beefed-up ear plugs to be able to stand it and protect your hearing. Complained to the theater the last time I went and she said she never got any complaints about the sound. Guess my ears are overly sensitive to sound being an MT for years. As far as I am concerned, it is an assault on one's senses. No small wonder attendance is down IMHO.
