Hi, I'm an MT, but I am into my appearance as well *grin*. I was wondering if there's a board here for the lighter side of life, like beauty care/hair care. I am getting gray, and my gray is very stubborn. I love ULTRA ash light brown - not just plain old ash light brown, but ULTRA. I buy it special at Sally.
They say that if you have stubborn gray, you need to buy 20 developer and put it on your hair first for a while, I think 20 minutes???, and then towel it off, don't rinse. Then, apply the color/developer mixed. Then leave on for up to 45 minutes. If this process and concoction doesn't cover stubborn gray, nothing will.
Do I have this right?
Also, does anyone know if you can buy "super-thick" developer anywhere? Like developer that is as thick as toothpaste? I really hate gloopy developer dripping all over the place, even when I am being super careful. It invariably drips onto my ears, etc. and people who know you dye see this the day after...
I also hate the Vaseline approach, Vaseline helps to a certain extent keeping your skin from getting stained on your face, etc., when you dye, but it's a b*tch washing off, you always end up irritating your skin washing off Vaseline.
What do you all think? Any suggestions?
All I have to say is: The patient was taken to the operating room and placed on the operating table in the Trendelenburg position...bwah hah hah ;)
