Grassley claims it's because they're in the middle of the investigation and he doesn't want to taint the testimony from other witnesses.

The more interesting question is why did Simpson refuse to testify in public and then demand last week in a NYT op-ed that his testimony be released? If Simpson wanted to set the record straight, why not testify in public as Grassley requested?
