a couple points. I just believe that since they claim this is a middle class tax cut, they should have allowed the charitable donations to remain even with the standard deduction, even without itemizing. It is not to say that people still won't donate, but to many people, $20 in reduced taxes is $20.
On a personal note, I don't care for the United Way. They could cut down on their administrative salaries.
I'm not sure how to fix government corruption or what policies would help level the playing field in the rich versus the poor with our government, but nothing has worked and I don't see the current administrations policies as going to work either.
Frankly, I think the right has gotten too far right and the left has gotten too far left and both parties leave a sour taste in my mouth. I do feel our country is being run by Wall Street and special interest groups and the rest of us are just along for the ride.
I wish I could answer your question on what policies I think could fix this problem but I can't.
