I'm old enough to remember that.

You are trying to morph this into a more general discussion of businesses appreciating their employees.

The issue is what you wrote: That every time you had a decrease in expenses, your employees benefited because you gave them a pay raise or a bonus.

I don't believe that for a second. That wasn't even done "back in the day." Why? Because any businessperson who does that is asking for failure so shouldn't be in business.

Trying going down to the SBA office to apply for a loan and tell them that your plan is to give your staff raises and bonuses every time your expenses drop!

They will LAUGH you right outta there!
