I'm not sure if you're talking about your MT job or something else, but while praying is a good way to gain strength to get up and get out, it shouldn't preclude someone from sending out resumes and filling out applications.
God is not punishing you, you are punishing yourself, then getting angry with God for whatever has gone wrong in your life.
I wish you peace and strength to have a better life. Pray for that, rather then expecting God to "make it right."
