Forces me to buy insurance I don't need - sm - tiredmt

Such as maternity, drug abuse treatment, mental health to name a few, which are all things I don't need and I haven't been pregnant in 40 years. But they are mandatory for everyone. Insurance premiums would be a lot cheaper if we were only required to take what we need. Besides, do you really think it's fair to make people pay a penalty if they don't have insurance? It's not just the wealthy and upper middle class that get stuck paying it, it's the poor people who are working for minimum wage and for whatever reason don't take Obamacare that are paying it too. I have one friend whose policy was cancelled due to no fault of his own. He wasn't notified until the following November. He ended up paying the penalty and he only makes minimum wage. So I think it's a good thing the mandatory requirement is going to be gone.
