Duplications - Not impressed with this list Posted: Dec 17th, 2017 - 12:23 pm In Reply to: I Will - Send
There are duplications in your list. Maybe some of these are the wrong thing to say but everyone tries to help in their own way. I didn't understand #96. I have to say as someone who's been on both sides of the coin, the constant whining and complaining does get tiresome, people are seeking help and advice and it is best found with a mental health professional. Getting involved in activities and focusing on other's needs does help. Blaming others does not help. I have a so-called friend who is up to her ears in personal problems but denies them, but judges others for being negative. She's probably praying for my soul as I write this. Depression is real and it can last for years but at some point people do need to take responsibility for their actions. I can relate to the "feel better now?" entry, that is demeaning and only an attempt to get rid of someone because they don't want to be bothered. I have never tried responding with "no" to see what happened next. Wanting to talk about problems is not a sign of depression, it's finding someone to listen that is the difficult part.
