When I was quite young, my dad once said - MT

If you are "in a sinking boat, it is easier for God to help you if you do your best to find yourself a better boat." I'm sure there was a biblical reference, but I didn't quite understand this until I was much older. Additionally, I finally decided to give up working as an MT because it seemed I was just repeating the same scenario over and over again and yet expecting some miraculous, new and better result. It never got better. It only got worse. It's because I had forgotten my dad's advice, to leave the sinking boat. It certainly wasn't easy, but I could not find another solution that was anything but temporary at best.
