it's pretty damn close to the same. See the fluctuations throughout the ENTIRE 100 years? I can't even imagine how many factors could have some effect on the things you stated (erosion, transplanted species, crossbred species, man-brought diseases, a never-ending list). California burning up...again, not even close to new. This past hurricane season MATCHED a 124-year-old record. Just because you don't personally remember these things, doesn't mean it's doomsday apocalypse. It's nature. Things happen. All. The. Time. And it's constantly changing.
