Maybe start by doing some research instead of just listening to right-winged talking points. You might also just think about things like the original poster was talking about.
By the way, I do pick up trash on the side of the road. I also recycle anything I can. Usually end up with a small bag of trash that ends up in a landfill each week. I use organic fertilizer and bug killer on my flowers and garden. I drive to town once a week and do all my errands in one trip. I use energy saving light bulbs. If I could afford it, I would have a windmill in my yard or solar panels but can't quite afford to do that yet. I'm not claiming to be totally non-reliant on fossil fuels and not many of us can afford to do that, but I do the best I can and am always looking for other ways.
