Dementia - Christine

Yes, in fact she is on a cholesterol lowering drug and has been for years. I mentioned this to her, and of course again her doctor told her that is not doing it. I have been telling my sister, who is also having a low of memory loss and confusion, that I heard years ago this drug can cause it. Again, her doctor tells her no. My friend had the testing yesterday and the examiner came out to tell her husband "She is going to be fine. She is suffering from severe depression. I agree there are many signs of that, but there is more going on. I met my friend and her husband at a restaurant after the testing, and she was much happier that it was all over and that she received "good news." However, at our brief meeting she repeated herself 4-5 times with things she had just said. She asked me questions over and over that we just discussed. I am going to suggest to her that she speak to the pharmacist. I thank those who replied to my post. The problem with my friend is getting worse all the time. The examiner said he would now refer her back to her psychiatrist for further treatment of depression.
