How many mothers, grandmothers, aunts, etc. here know that your county or state government has a search engine that allows you to look up where the sexual offenders live in your area? Where I live, details (including photograph, crime(s), etc.) are available.
I searched my address and discovered 6 offenders living within a 1-mile radius. A Level I convicted child molester lives in my apartment complex, just one building over from mine. This is a "family-oriented" complex, and it makes me wonder how many parents here are aware that this guy is living so close.
