One notable example. The electric car tax cut. Buy an electric car and save up to $7500/yr on your taxes. Who pays that much tax? The rich.

Who pays for that subsidy? The taxpayers.

Maybe we should all buy electric cars then? Good idea. But if you aren't rich enough to own your home you can't have the 240v charger put in your garage. Without that, your car would take days to charge.
