I also get attacked from every angle. I live in the middle of rural mid-west in Republican country. I'm known to lean to the left. I was harassed by the evangelical right postmaster who hated gays and he didn't like it because I spoke up for them as I have many friends who are gay. I couldn't go into that post office. You bet I complained to the higher ups. We even had a woman at a place I worked at pass out anti-gay literature.
I cannot go vote because I'm harassed by the poll workers themselves. The voters come in wearing Republican political buttons, hats, etc. This is against the law. All political literature must be 100 feet from the poll. I complained to the poll workers and was met with hostility. I complained to the election board. I felt it was safer to just vote absentee this election.
Many of my non-Trump supporting friends felt it wasn't even safe to put out a sign supporting Bernie or Hillary or even mention publicly that they don't support Trump.
I'm attacked regularly on the politics board of MTStars as are several non-Trump supporters. We communicate via email. So you see, it works both ways.
