I agree with moving them to a park. sm - anony

I don't agree with destroying them. I also feel that some of these statues are perhaps taken out of context. What those people did to that statue in NC was wrong. Those soldiers fought and died for what they believed in, whether perceived as right or wrong. I just watched the American Experience documentary on Death and the Civil War. It was really sad. This wasn't about generals or presidents, but regular soldiers who fought and died for what they believed in. I can see how people in the north and south erected monuments to these soldiers. But moving them to a park would preserve history and still honor those who died fighting. The ones specifically honoring white nationalism, I think there was one in the south somewhere, belong in a museum, not in a park honoring dead soldiers. This is JMHO.
