So hard to be around someone like that. From what you describe, he seems inwardly weak and insecure. His behavior suggests that he is trying to build himself up by tearing others down, and that NEVER works. I have this mental picture of a tiny pathetic baby animal trying to claw its way out of a deep hole, and the more it claws, the more scared, angry, and exhausted it gets. He probably lives in his own self-created misery and makes everyone around him miserable as well. Sorry you and your colleagues had to work with someone like him. Ironically, he probably suffers even more than all of you because he has to live with himself 24/7.
