This did not make sense to me as you would still have the same amount of moisture, but now a slightly heavier load. When I Googled, they said to take the towel out after 15 minutes or so--at that point the towel will have absorbed some moisture, but the rest of the load will now dry quicker.

So take the towel out after 15 minutes. Since my dryer is an area not right in the main living area, I doubt I would go back to take it out, but I might try.
