Prayer Request for a friend who is in the hospital - MT

Posted: Oct 20th, 2017 - 6:25 pm

A friend of mine went missing a few days ago. The cops found her car on a bridge running and her dog was in it, her purse, her phone.  She was missing for 2 days. Yesterday a couple who was in a boat found her clinging to rocks. She kept slipping in the water. She had been there for 2 days. Luckily she was taken to the hospitail. She is in the intensive care unit with a broken ankle, hypothermia, and kidney failure. There is a problem with her lung. They say she will be okay. Her mom who was her best friend passed away recently and apparently on disability an in her early 40s, she was facing loneliness, and worry over making ends meet because her disability was not enough.  This morning I looked at a picture of the bridge and I cannot fathom what she must have gone through. This bridge was high, and the water beneath it about 68 degrees.  The whold situation scared the heck out of me.  Personally this has been a bad week for me, as I was laid off and am losing my car. But my landlord knowing I am losing the car to save the rent is going to sell me a car after the holidays. I am fortunate I have a son who will take me to the store until then.  I have my cats.  But when I think about my friend and how lonely she must have felt, how desparate to be with her mom, I realized she must have broken with reality. She is in the hospital now as I said and she does not want to die. She realizes how many people love her. I am asking you think of her and pray for her.  Her initials are JT.  This has profoundly changed my life not only because she is a friend but when I look at a picture of that bridge it is so high up it is so frightening to me. I cannot imagine what it was like for her being in the water for all that time. And how upset she must have been to have left her little dog in the car like that. Thanks for hearing my story.  We may to take this as a parable for our own lives too.  When things get rough in our business and financial lives, we need to know that we don't have to resort to the ugly sadness. We need to call 911 and have people take care of us and care for us until we are better.  We should never feel as alone as my friend JT must have felt when she was falling off that bridge and then later as she sat in that cold water for days. Again, thanks for your prayers.
