I'd like to use the Healthcare industry's greed - sm

Your post mentions two outcomes, people who can't afford healthcare and people waiting for care in a socialist system. In both instances, people aren't getting care.

Let's examine those a little more. In the socialist system the Healthcare industry has it pretty good. They have a line of people waiting for care and a guaranteed 100% payer, the government. In the free market system the Healthcare industry has people waiting for care, but no payments.

The free market system is the one that will force the industry to find a way to make it affordable to more people. Things you never hear from a socialist-run hospital:
* "Hmmm... Do we really need to charge $25 for a single Aleve pill when we can buy them at Costco for 6 cents?"
* "Sure an MRI will rule out that exceeding rare condition that you have no symptoms for, but I don't think you need one."

The insurance companies are the ones driving up the price of healthcare. Get rid of the insurance companies and costs will come down.
