invade? Had Switzerland had the oil like Romania Hitler would have made an excuse to go in. If he wanted Switzerland he would have taken it like Austria.

Switzerland was pretty high on per person income in Europe. So we can assume they had assets. Their banks are huge and store lot of precious metals.

But with every Swiss having firearms, and the rugged territory, Hitler would have lost much more than gained by invading Switzerland.

On the other hand, civilians in Poland, Romania, France, Belgium, etc were sitting ducks for the invading Germans.
