No matter what you think, people will always be able to get weapons of any type to kill and maim.
This man was planning on making bombs. do we ban pipes? Nails? Fertilizer? Batteries? This man planned this attack for months.
What about those with the strictest gun control in the country? Chicago is a good example of criminals getting guns illegally. All they have to do is go to another country and bring them back. The black market makes a lot of money supplying illegal items (not just guns) to people.
There will always be a way if you're intent of killing someone and you can't legislate laws that can't be enforced.
BTW, I don't doubt they will find out he's part of the terrorist group since they found out that he sent thousands of $$ to the Philipines for months and guess where his honey went a couple weeks ago....I doubt she's the innocent some are trying to make her out. The FBI is stupidly thinking she will come back voluntarily. I doubt that very much.
