First of all, did the class normally say the pledge, or did these 2 decide to do it all on their own? If they did it on their own, really, what would you expect? If this was a class routine, do the kids normally put their hands over their hearts? I think the kids would not much care, being the boring ritual this is.
If any part of this post is true, I am thinking the boys must have done something else to egg on their classmates.
