I appreciate your personal viewpoint - I heard a former congressman

Last night propose getting Medicare to start at 55. Rather than attempting single payer or any other massive undertaking (both CA and VT could not find the money for single payer), he suggested they simply allow people to go on Medicare when they are 55.

That makes sense, especially for those of us in this industry, and really in terms of getting fired easily there are many other industries too which you can get the chop as you are getting older. We all know how hard it is to find employment after a certain age, no matter what. So this would be a good idea to ensure at least health care could be taken care of.

And if it would require premiums for those 55-65, I still think it would be massively better than what's available at the moment, considering it seems to be in a huge shakeup where they are taking protections away from Obamacare already without replacing them.

That would also be a start for the Medicare for All idea and if it worked out, expand it.

I know some people will get apoplectic to hear it was actually Barney Frank who proposed it, and also that it was on Bill Maher Real Time, but a good idea is a good idea. That's the best one I've heard for awhile.
