In that job, you get hammering in your earpiece when you are trying to broadcast and that's kind of a really bad thing to happen, and I don't really see a "seething temper" but more of an frustrated reaction to an adverse situation. Nothing like O'Reilly's meltdown, which was just plain nasty.
The guy wrote and produced The West Wing and won an Emmy. He also was a legislative aide to Daniel Patrick Moynihan. He also has a foundation called the KIND foundation (kids in need of desks) which provides desks for kids in African schools (where they have no desks).
He did apologize too, unlike O'Reilly.
