debt automatically makes you a bad president? I know that the highly revered Reagan took over the White House with a $934 billion debt, but when he left it was $2.7 Trillion - that is whopping big! I know that Bush Jr. taking us into war in Iraq had to add to the debt by quite a bit - and as we are still there is probably helping that number go up as well. I know Obama had to take on the mortgage failure fiasco and keep the stock market from completely imploding - all which cost money, but I am not sure that having to raise the debt would really make you a bad president. I think considering the reasons behind it is more important. Just a thought!
