but I lived it and on January 20, 2009 Obama took on a Dow-Jones that was at less than 8000 and an unemployment rate at 7.8. Unemployment rose drastically over the next 2 years until it peaked at 9.0 in September 2011 (due to the major recession that we were in!!) On January 20, 2017 the Dow was at just under 20,000 and unemployment down to 4.8 - so as you can see the numbers under Obama did improve. Consider what he took over - we were just starting into the great recession with car companies about to go belly up as well as Wall Street and AIG the monster conglomerate that we bailed out and their CEO's got huge bonuses. The facts are there, just look them up!
