I think the good far outweighs the bad though. Some people don't even realize that the reason some nonunion places make decent money is because of the unions in the other places. Nonunion cannot pay too much less than union or they would not have workers.
We are seeing fewer and fewer benefits of unions and that is because they are busting them up.
I have worked for good nonunion places also. I also used to live in the south where they were totally against unions. When it came to closing one of the plants, we were the first to go even though we were outproducing the one in the north and were paid much less.
If transcriptionists had unionized years ago, we would be far better off right now.
