This is exactly why right to work is bad

Funny how Canada is blaming our low wages on fair trade, just like we blame Mexico. Republicans are slowly destroying our unions and people don't realize this is a big part of why our wages have been stagnant for years. Breaking up unions is not good for people; it only benefits companies so they can rake in profits without being fair to their employees. I was disgusted when my state went to a right to work state.

A few points from the article: "The Economic Policy Institute, a labor-backed research center, has also found that in right-to-work states, wages were 3.1% — or $1,558 — lower per worker per year, after taking the cost of living and other factors into account."

"At least the Canadians’ quixotic push to end right to work reveals Trump’s inaction on labor issues. During last year’s campaign, he complained mightily about wage stagnation under President Obama. Since his inauguration, however, Trump hasn’t done a thing to lift workers’ wages — indeed he has hurt wages by undercutting an Obama rule to extend overtime pay to 4 million more workers."
