Civil unrest is rampant and you all propagate it here.

Posted: Aug 15, 2017

Just agree to disagree and stop with all the accusatory posts. People in this forum more than likely had nothing at all to do with any of the protests starting from when Obama was president to the present time. Can't we just focus on concrete truths and not abstract accusations? Can't we discuss how best to handle tax reform, the health care mess, the potential asylum for many in Venezuela, the crisis in North Korea, etc, etc? STOP THE RACISM ON BOTH SIDES. STOP THE ARGUING ON BOTH SIDES. Think of this, if we were all in an office and looking at each other face to face, would we act this way? The answer is a resounding NO!;

My accusations about Trump are not abstract, - they are right out of his mouth

[ In Reply To ..]
and his actions. If I were looking you in the face I would tell you the same thing.

You have a nice day now.

You see how long your message had impact? (The first reply to you). Certain - Truthhurts

people on this board will never, ever discuss politely. Different posters have tried over and over again to get some calm and respect for other opinions. Those who hate Trump will never admit he does anything right no matter right and those that support Trump to the nth degree will never admit he could be wrong at times.

No matter what I post, I get one poster who hits the dislike key immediately after I post so I know that person hasn't read a word. So be it if they like to waste time following me just to dislike my posts. It's a badge I'm proud of because it shows that I have something to say that they don't like, even if I post good stuff about their "people."

I come here less and less because of the warring sides.

He has to do something right for me to give - him credit.

[ In Reply To ..]
He's gutting our environment, badgering everybody, praising a healthcare plan that will hurt millions. He has so many conflicts of interest it isn't funny. Where are those taxes? He offshores while telling everybody else to come back. Lying about how many jobs he created. Thinks everything he does is the "best ever."

Did I leave anything out? I'm sure I did.

I don't think any of it is good.

Oh yea, I gave you a dislike so you can be happy.

Your president just came out siding with the - Nazis and white supremacists

[ In Reply To ..]
No bones about it now. David Duke just tweeted thanks for his support.

No both sides. One side who has absolutely nothing to complain about but they just want to assert their "supremacy" for some reason (while in actuality demonstrating their gross inferiority).

Did you hear what he said today?

Concrete truths, here's a few for you: Those horrific statues are actually racist heroes, they are NOT "culture" and NOT "history" - it is like having statues of Hitler in Germany. They lost the war and for some reason they are being glorified as "southern culture."

The white supremacists named streets and put up statues and named schools where little black children go to school after these monsters who wanted them to stay enslaved.

How would you feel about that?

Those statues only went up in the 50s, many of them, when the civil rights movement was getting some wins. They had to fight back with their racism, didn't they?

Those statues NEED to come down and those schools and streets need renaming. That's a reason to protest. What were those neo Nazis and white supremacists fighting for anyway? The right to be racist?

"Is it George Washington next week and Thomas Jefferson next week." (Trump today)

No, you big dummy. They ARE heroes, they are our founding fathers. They are not Confederate losers of the war who wanted slavery to continue.

Ugh. This is his most disgusting performance ever. He is ignorant and prejudiced and completely unfit to be president.

I agree about - Trump not

[ In Reply To ..]
being in any way, shape, or form presidential material. I don't however agree about the monuments that are being removed. These monuments should be regarded as reminders of how far we have come in this country from slavery. No it is still a long path to no more racism (if it can ever be obtained), but we have achieved so much. The Civil War is part of our country's history and it should never be shied away from lest we forget. How can we expect our children to understand the struggles without visual reminders? These statues are just that - statues. Not something that glorifies slavery or racism. What's next? The Vietnam War Memorials? The Jefferson Memorial (he was a huge slave owner)? history is something that happened in the past, but should not be forgotten because it is the thing that has made today possible! And the statue of a confederate soldier in Durham that was destroyed yesterday by anti-whatever people was just vandalism pure and simple. The confederate soldiers fought in a war and risked their lives for something they believed in - just like any other soldier in war! Whether what they believed in was right or wrong is beside the point. The Civil War was about the states not wanting the federal government to be able to tell them what they can or can't do - not just slavery - it was not that simple! Destroying or removing them does not make the history of slavery go away and I highly doubt that African Americans can truly be dismayed at seeing them, but if they are they need to remember just how far this country has come since then!

I agree and I know many blacks agree. - The statues are part

[ In Reply To ..]
of our history and should not be removed.

I also think the Nazi's were there to start trouble and that is all there is to it. Trump has empowered them and they are looking for a fight where ever they can.

I wonder why there are no statues of Hitler or his gang inn Germany. - nm

Probably because - he tried to
[ In Reply To ..]
annihilate a whole race of people - not the same thing at all. The Civil War was about state's rights - the states felt the government should not be able to tell them what laws they had to follow - not just slavery. The people who fought for the confederacy believed in that cause. Not the the same thing at all.

You Can't Look at Robert E Lee in Today's Hyperpolitical Vacuum - vin

Otherwise it causes you to make statements that show your ignorance concerning AMERICAN history, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

You leftists have just as much radical bile for those who disagree with your command and control demands.

All the downvoters need to stop looking at history through their SJW lenses and acknowledge that the monuments of these individuals is not akin to a desire to re-enact slavery but a remembrance of their accomplishments (West Point graduate with highest owners, hero in the US-Mexican war, and a conflicted individual who was hesitant to fight a war based solely on the institution of slavery but ultimately chose his fate for better or for worse, right or wrong).

I'm on the left and am not ignorant! Neither - are many people.

[ In Reply To ..]
I think the statues should be left alone; they are part of our country's history. I know a lot of people on the left who feel the same way I do, and apparently you do too.

So what is your beef with me and my left-leaning friends? You continue to criticize people and don't even know how they feel. You assume everybody on the left agrees with tearing them down.

Those dislikes are probably not because of the statues but more for the demeaning way you talk about people you know nothing about.

The difference between my views and the Nazi's, KKK and white supremacists is not the statues. They have disgusting ideals that I don't believe in that only whites should be in our country.

Poor little children they are so - frightened of the statues

[ In Reply To ..]
I hope the statues come back to life and start chasing everyone.

Oh for Pete's sake - he most certainly did not - Stop listening to fake news

[ In Reply To ..]
No way whatsoever in any form or shape did he come out siding with Nazi's and white supremacist. Maybe if you listened to what he said instead of what the LSM is trying to get people to believe. I listened to President Trump and he most certainly did not say anything of the sort.

Anyone who twists and lies about what he says is showing the same thing you wrote.

I listened today to what CNN claims he said. They just make up stuff that is a complete lie. The sooner they are shut down the better the country will be.

What's funny about this is - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
I listened to him too. And I listened to CNN. I find it odd how they could twist words after they played the video of him speaking. I heard him, I know what he said. CNN did no such thing. And as for what the right calls news, LOL, yeah, outright lies, half stories or conspiracy theories. Yeah that's what's FAKE news. Of course David Duke sure did like what trump said, so there's that.

Please post links to video where President Trump came out in support of white supremacists and nazi - I want to hear it first hand

If you listened to him and understood it's not - always about words but

[ In Reply To ..]
tone and body language, you would have seen the same thing many saw. For those of you who have your nose so far up the Trump Train, maybe you should pay attention a little more.

David Duke thanked him for his support. The rest of his administration who were surrounding him looked totally bewildered at what he was saying. All that says more than his words.

Here's hoping it may spread to those companies in the rest of the world that work for slave wages doing work that should be done here; i.e., MT, toy manufacturing, etc. If they would also strike, walkout in protest, or the myriad other things they do, maybe some of the jobs will come back home. Thinking About Crime, The Economy And Social UnrestNov 17, 2015
So I was thinking, if I was a criminal, what sort of crime would I do.  I could only think of economic reasons.  There was not one crime for money that I thought would be worth doing and going to jail over.  Selling drugs, burglary, banks, jewelry stores, kidnapping, fraud and swindling.  Nothing would be as good as a good paying job.   If everyone had a job that provided the basics of life, we could do away with at least 50% of the crime and a lot of problems would fix ...

Civil Rights Bills Passed ForAug 21, 2017
Food for thought: “I maintain that every civil rights bill in this country was passed for white people, not for black people. For example, I am black. I know that. I also know that while I am black I am a human being. Therefore I have the right to go into any public place. White people don’t know that.
