Wow, it looks like Poland is going to end

Posted: Jul 22, 2017

Reading this makes me think of what is going on here.  This guy just wants to make his own rules too and he also has supporters who just don't get it.

;

the EU is now threatening Poland with their - voting "privilege"??? Wow,

[ In Reply To ..]
so the unelected, tax exempt, above the law diplomatic immunity EU views voting as a "privilege." The arrogance of the EU is simply astounding! The EU is the new USSR.

The EU seems to have become Germany’s 4th Reich. They learned how to achieve it through Brussels the soft way vs. previous “hard” ways. Are these people our allies?

Go Poland. You are one of the few remaining countries with a future.

Keep building up for the sure to come war with Islam.

Hopefully, we will be with you.

Germany is able to pay their billions into the EU - budget because of American's protection

plus our rebuilding of Europe after WWII. This has allowed them to skim on the defense budget so far.

Separation of powers is bigger than election cycles. Poland doesn’t have “an evil” political side. They are all Polish patriots just with different ideas.

The EU is exactly what Hitler envisioned. A Europe - dominated by Germany.

I suspect that is why England left (they’d never even abandoned their own currency, knowing their future lay more with the Anglosphere and Commonwealth that with the Fourth Reich).

I think the only reason the Poland article was posted - (I've been following what is going on in

Europe with the EU for some time) is to try and make a connection somehow with Trump to make him look like he's thwarting our Constitution. There's no comparison to them and us. But the left will try anyway.

EU is an $$ hole for threatening Poland and - Poland isn't right either.

[ In Reply To ..]
Even the judges from the friendly Czech Republic made a statement about their government’s attempt to make the court system their lapdog.

What I don't like is the OP trying to somehow equate this with Trump. He has nothing to do with it.

The people are demonstrating against the govt taking - control of Poland's Supreme Court.

The EU is threatening to use an article of the EU if the President signs the legislation into law. So in this case it sounds like the protestors probably welcome the EU threat.

People, be careful what you wish for because it might come true. The EU is not your friend.

Join the EU and take their money = no room to complain. In my opinion, anyway. Poland joined in 2004, long after it was apparent how bad it is.

They are leftist organized "protests" just as found - all the time in the US. The

majority popular government in Poland knows the judiciary is packed with former Communists who without changing their political leanings merely changed their party labels.

The previous government in the midnight hour of their administration packed the Supreme Court of Poland by creating new Supreme Court posts and immediately filling them before the new government came into office. The new government first undid some of that nonsense and has since been struggling to do more; with various EU bodies objecting all the way. Now the popular government of Poland seeks to drain the judicial swamp the Marxist have built, and the Soros-EU deep staters are ratcheting up the “popular protests”.

You have it the other way around. It's the EU that is - dicatorial. Just a micro look

at what globalization can be. An unelected taxing agent, with the power to pick the winners.

The Czech Republic and Slovakia have been showing some nerve lately. The Czechs recently passed a law that is something America’s Second Amendment. And boy, is the E.U. upset over this.

Watch the EU be whittled down to 10 nations in the upcoming years. It prophetic.

I stand with Poland and the Czech Republic. - End the EU and their Marxist

stranglehold and all the peoples of Europe can prosper in peace.

Hope they join the British government.

I think Lego's are manufactured there.

Poland, the land of Auscwitz, if fully aware of the E.U. - dictatorial power. Most

of Eastern Europe feels the same. The Czechs, Slovaks, Hungarians and Romanians too...

Have the dumb Polack jokes started yet? They originated in WWII when they attacked a German Tank column on horseback. From another perspective it could also have been called "Very Brave"....

Finally, a European country says it will not offer up its own people for slaughter by terrorists. The E.U. is trying to bribe them to take in immigrants.

So NPR wants us to think that Poland should submit to - the European Union?

[ In Reply To ..]
Isn't NPR the place that fired Juan Williams because he was too far "right" for them?

NPR = National Propaganda Radio

Who flippin said that!!!! Read the article - and get back when you understand it.

I don't think many of you understand the - article.

He wants to be able to pick whatever judges he wants and dismiss the rest. Of course you wouldn't understand since you think Trump should also be able to make up his own rules. There are checks and balances for a reason and this would violate that.

I do understand the article. Poland has been in the news - lately for standing up to the EU on other

issues. The EU is going to push Poland and the other resistive eastern European nations into an alliance with Russia and Israel. Just watch.

The EU always was, and still is, a means of locking all the member countries into a socialist government system that was designed to be non-reversible. Guess what? The ruling bureaucrats are royally pissed that there is a developing push back movement.

I don't think Trump should make up his own rules. I believe in the Constitution. I didn't believe Obama should have either, but he did. Where were the proponents of small govt then?

Why do you think this guy should be able to - make his own rules then?

[ In Reply To ..]
They also have a constitution and he wants to basically re-write it. Again, you don't get it.
In Germany the same woman has been in charge for - 12 years. She is the head of
[ In Reply To ..]
both the government and the main party, she basically elects the president as people there are not even allowed to vote for the president directly, the president is elected by the Bundestag, so by Merkel as the head of main party, additionally (as the media coverage of “Cologne incidents” proved) she basically controls the media. So if Poland under Kaczynski is a "dictatorship" then Germany is dictatorship.

All the screams, threats and “concerns” are just offensive weapon against the government that is not in line with the plan of Merkel/Junkers/Macron & co. to trigger of the civil war in Europe (via “refugees” savages) and then as a “solution” turn EU into a federal state.

Here's a good example of double standards, Anne Sanders, Council of Europe:

How are judges appointed in Germany?

At the Federal level, judges are appointed by a judicial selection Committee. Consisting of members of Parliament and agricultural Ministers, to choose the judges who are then appointed by the Minister of justice. Now you will say — rightly — that the government and the Parliament have so much more influence. This is actually true. In this respect, it is not surprising if the Polish government argues, they do have a Reform, so it is with you, just like in Germany.

What is the difference between the Polish and German judiciary then?

The System in Germany is a long-established, in which Checks and Balances have formed, so that the judges can work independently. In addition, in Germany there is something, what you might call a culture of independence. In Germany, no politician would say that judge as a party-goers to make their judgments in the sense of the majority; at least, such cases are not known.

So you are not allowed to have the same system as in Germany because you... don't have “a culture of independence” :)))

Personally I'm not sure If it is the best move to “fix” the courts but I know that now they are controlled by no one but themselves and results are terrible.

Regarding economic side of EU... shut it down, get back to borders, tariffs, national currencies and German “export superpower” would disappear overnight. Their input into EU budget is nothing compared to what their business is making out of the whole thing. They benefit from it more than anyone else.
This is interesting, but I'm sure the OP's reasons for - posting the article was to
[ In Reply To ..]
make Trump look like he's usurping power somehow.

What do you mean Trump should not be able to pick his own judges? - He hsa the constitutional right to do so.

[ In Reply To ..]
This does not violate checks and balances.

Polish politics does not have the “insane lefty” side like America does. Both big parties are Polish patriots there, just with somewhat different priorities and the split is not as it is in the USA.

Trump doesn't have the right to dismiss judges - and put ones he wants in

[ In Reply To ..]
like the guy in Poland wants to do.
You are right, - he does not!
[ In Reply To ..]
But that does not mean he will not try. He already was looking into pardoning himself no something he insists is fake - what does that tell you?
I totally agree with you. I was responding - to someone who apparently
[ In Reply To ..]
doesn't understand the article. To them it was all about criticizing the left and telling me something I already know, which is that Trump can appoint judges. Under our constitution and theirs, you can't pick your own judges and get rid of the ones you want! This is what the leader of Poland wants to be able to do.

I posted the article and it is amazing to me that many of the responses only criticize the left and don't really comprehend what it means. I could care less if Poland is right-leaning or not, the leader doesn't have the right to pick and choose what judges he wants. Our president is trying to teach his supporters that it should be his way or the highway and most of them are agreeing. We have a constitution that prevents him from doing it so he is using propaganda and lies to do it and they are sucked in every day. I truly hope the republicans open their eyes and see what destruction this idiot is creating in our democracy. He is not a kind or a dictator and though he is the President of the United States, he is not my president!!!!

I did not like Bush but accepted him as my president, but this nut job is nobody's president; he is the king of cons and that is all.
If you post a lopsided article without looking at all - sides, but then someone tries to
[ In Reply To ..]
look at the whole picture, why get upset? What does Poland have to do with Trump?
?????????? What is lopsided? Please do - post something that isn't
[ In Reply To ..]
lopsided. The guy wants to be able to dismiss judges and put ones in that he wants. How many sides are there to that??
Dismiss and pick are not the same thing. I will - point out that our checks and
[ In Reply To ..]
balances have been compromised many times, the most recent with SC issuing a health insurance tax, which they do not have the power to do. That is the legislative branch's power.

Where was Separation of Powers when fighting executive amnesty during Obama?
