Trump's recent comments

about the Civil War and Andrew Jackson are so ignorant and incoherent that it just gives us another reason to question Trump's mental status.

I am no Hillary fan but OMG - This is terrible

[ In Reply To ..]
I am not sure which is worse. All I have seen on this board from Republicans is what they do not like about Obama or Hillary. And no, they cannot defend Trump either. However, Trump is president. His lies and ignorance just cannot be ignored and that is not fake news, they are his own words. What happened to his "fabulous" health plan? The one where EVERYONE would be covered with lower costs and better coverage? We are now seeing the Trump plan will be nothing more than what it was prior to Obama care, with hefty premiums for older folks or folks with pre-existing conditions. The only difference is insurers have to carry them. As for everyone else, yes you will have health insurance but you will definitely not have health coverage.

What happened to his own statements in April of 2016 when he said "I believe the rich should pay higher taxes, including me, definitely." Now that he is in the White House, his plans benefit him, his businesses, his family, and the other 1%. What happened to Mexico will pay for the wall. Now it is "give me the money and we will figure out how to get Mexico to pay for it in some form." Really.....? I say he gets a Go Fund Me page for the wall and all of his supports who believe in him and want the wall can pay for it until he figures out how to have Mexico pay for it "in some form."

Before he was elected, it was "My taxes are being audited. Will show them after the audit." Now, it is "we'll see" on showing his taxes. Tax returns tell everything about a person, their businesses, their interests and their honesty.

No one has much to say about all of his vacations and the enormous cost of the secret service to his family traveling around the world doing Trump business.

I could go on and on about how he has flip-flopped on so many things, not to mention the ignorant things that come out of his mouth and the numerous law suits against him for being a con and a cheat. And all people want to do is insult Obama and Hillary. They are gone people. Wake up. You cannot run a country like you do a business. Not going to work. And all of you who support him on Syria and NK, hope you are first ones in line to put boots on the ground when the time comes.

Heck, it's ObamaCare, I thought you guys were all for it, - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
I mean why does it matter to you if it gets changed, seems you all love ObamaCare. Who hasn't flip-flopped around on so many things while in office. And really, I'm not sure the amount of time the guy has been in office would constitute a failure at everything. Of course, if I were called to serve my country, I'd have no problem saving YOUR life along with the rest of our country.

Who said they weren't for the ACA? - He said he was going

[ In Reply To ..]
to make it better. If he could do that then more power to him. I don't care what they call it if it is better and I don't care which party comes up with something better. The thing is they haven't. They have come up with a disaster.

Your republican talking points are just that, talking points with no substance. Republicans are even balking at repealing it. Maybe they'll get smart and come up with national healthcare. I'll root them on all the way.

NCCN Survey Reveals Oncology’s Concerns about Financial Distress, Patient Access to Care

(FORT WASHINGTON, PA – April 19, 2017) Oncology community professionals are concerned about the ability of their patients to access cancer screening and treatment under the proposed American Health Care Act, according to a survey conducted March 23–24, 2017 at the National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®) 22nd Annual Conference: Improving the Quality, Effectiveness, and Efficiency of Cancer Care™ at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida.

In addition, a majority of those surveyed believed that anticipated health policy changes would have negative impacts on their practices and on cancer research. More than 70 percent surveyed noted that patients have voiced concern about the anticipated repeal and replacement of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), nearly two-thirds of whom have demonstrated increased levels of distress.

The survey was conducted during the period of congressional debate over the American Health Care Act (AHCA), which was withdrawn the afternoon of March 24 when it became clear there were not enough votes to pass the legislation. Responding to the survey were 76 oncology professionals, including physicians, academic and community; nurses; physician assistants; pharmacists; industry professionals; payers and patient advocates.

“The American Health Care Act is tabled and the ACA remains in place, but concerns about access to cancer screening, care, and research funding remain. Today, patients are in limbo, not knowing what action the federal and state governments will take,” said Robert W. Carlson, MD, Chief Executive Officer of NCCN. “NCCN agrees there are ways to improve the current health care system for Americans with cancer, the clinical professionals who care for them, and payers. However, we are concerned for Americans with cancer that affordability, coverage of products and services in cancer treatment, and overall access will be impeded by allowing health insurers to set their own rates, or by providing states the ability to experiment with Medicaid coverage, without appropriate patient protections.”

The NCCN Trends™ survey found:
•Fifty-five percent of respondents reported that the anticipated large-scale changes to federal health care policy would likely have a negative impact on their practice, research programs or patient outcomes. Eleven percent anticipated a positive impact, and 34 percent anticipated a neutral, or mixed impact.

•When asked to select from a list of outcomes they anticipated would occur with changes to health care policy, those who anticipated a negative impact (55%) indicated:
◦Fewer patients will have access to health insurance (71%)
◦High deductibles will limit patient access to care (69%)
◦Cancer screening rates will decline due to higher co-pays and deductibles (63%)
◦Patients’ pre-existing conditions could be excluded from coverage (57%)
◦Federal funding for cancer research will decline (56%)
◦There will be less support for mental health services (50%)
•Those who expected a positive impact (11%) indicated:
◦With increased competition for insurers operating across state lines, health insurance premiums and co-pays will go down for more patients, leading to improved access to care (50%)
◦Allowing medications to be imported will create more competition and reduced drug prices (50%)
◦Patient health savings accounts will lead to increased price transparency for medical procedures and medications, causing health care costs to drop (38%)
•When asked, “What kind of impact do you believe changes in federal health care policy will have on your patients’ ability to afford cancer care?” 66 percent of respondents said the impact would be negative; nine percent said positive; and 25 percent said the impact would be neutral.

•And, to the question, “To your knowledge, are your patients affected by health insurance policy and the possible repeal and replacement of the Affordable Care Act?” respondents answered:
◦Yes, patients have expressed concern and demonstrated greater levels of distress (50%)
◦Yes, patients have expressed concern but no evidence of health impact (21%)
◦No, I have not seen any effects (29%)

“President Trump included three key elements in his approach to health coverage reform: repairing necessary aspects of the ACA, ensuring greater access, and lowering the total cost of care,” Dr. Carlson said. “We are ready to share our Network’s expertise with lawmakers to deliver a value-based health policy to ensure that all Americans with cancer have access to high-quality, effective, and efficient cancer care.”

Below is a link to Dr. Carlson’s March 21, 2017 letter to Congress outlining NCCN’s concerns about the health policy proposal and patient access to care:

what the Pubs are now proposing would cost the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions way more than Obamacare. Pence has said the government would subsidize those groups but not how much the subsidy would be or whether he could even get it approved. And if you believe anything that comes out of the mouths of Trump or Pence or the rest of this administration, then I have a bridge to sell you.
I know right, ObamaCare will cost millions in the years to come - nm

have said that a wall will not keep out illegal aliens. More border security personnel would be more effective and would not interfere with the migration of wildlife.
In addition, the drugs have - been coming in by
[ In Reply To ..]
underground tunnels since the '80s. No wall is going to stop these people. It is just a waste of our money, because Mexico sure will not pay for it - we will! More border patrol is the answer, but even then it is a massive amount of land to cover.
There is an epidemic of drugs laced with - fentanyl coming from Mexico
[ In Reply To ..]
Just watched a special on this yesterday, how Mexico is lacing drugs with fentanyl. Drug deaths are increasing breaking hearts of families left behind.

No wall is going to stop these illegals so we just give up? Is that the American way now?

Who said give up? - Not me!
[ In Reply To ..]
I said the wall will be a waste of money because the criminals moving tons of drugs over the border already have alternative paths in place. I am well aware of who and what is coming in as I live in a border town in New Mexico. I am ready and willing to have it stopped, but a WALL WILL NOT DO THAT! IT WILL JUST COST YOU AND I MONEY WE DON"T HAVE!!!!!
A wall is a deterrent. Just like locks on your door is. - If someone really wants to get in they will
[ In Reply To ..]
But in the meantime, I am going to use a deterrent lock.

As far as it costing me money I do not have, I watched a talk show and someone said to treat the US like Disney World. Charge people to come in and issue a pass. I do not think that is a bad idea. Another person suggested using funds confiscated from El Chapo, the drug lord to build the wall. Surely there are more ways to get Mexico to pay for the wall. There are also trade deficits so we could charge fees for things made in Mexico being sent back to the US.

If we cannot outwit drug cartels who are making money and killing our loved ones, we might as well crawl in a hole and surrender. I am prepared to spend money to beat them. Whatever it takes.
And I will pass on a "lock" that - not only will not keep
[ In Reply To ..]

not just drug cartels... - LMT

killing our loved ones...so are the pharmaceutical companies and those are legal...YIKES...

Prescription drugs/opioids kill more people every year than any other drug out there, so there is another issue to tackle that makes a wall obsolete.
No need for a lock on your door, just keep - more police presence in your area right?
[ In Reply To ..]
Plus what if a stray animal, a rodent, a rabid raccoon even fire ants, palmetto bugs (flying roaches) need to migrate to your yard. No need for locks or fences. It is your duty to allow strays to migrate on your property.

Many experts and people in your neighborhood have said locks on your doors only encourages burglars, considering those locks a challenge. Lose the locks, open your gates and allow freedom to those who may want to visit with you uninvited. LOL

and kept out all the crazy white folks who stole this land out from under them.

The wall is one of the most stupid and ignorant ideas I have ever heard of. This country is a melting pot and although most of us were born here, most of our ancestors were not, so I wonder how they would feel about this subject. Seems a lot of people forget about how this country was back then. Wonder if you would consider your ancestors "intruders"?

The Berlin wall came down and I hope no walls ever go up again!!!
My family were not ILLEGAL and had - proper documentation to come here
[ In Reply To ..]
They did not smuggle drugs and arrive in a tunnel or running away from border police.

The country WAS a melting pot but now you have a lot of people who despise America who are living here and refuse to assimilate looking down on our culture.

Keep your doors unlocked and see how that works out for you. If an intruder comes into your home, I suppose you will welcome them with open arms.

And to your original point, maybe the natives should have built a wall and kept the "crazy white folks out who stole the land from them." Thanks for making the case for the wall.

You can build walls for your house to keep out the elements and bugs, etc, lock your doors to keep out criminals, but a wall between Mexico and America...dumb, dumb, and dumber.

Obamacare, and all the people who are suffering without insurance, the Syrian mess he created with his red line that he was to askeered to cross, the violence in the streets due to the racism he promoted every day of his Presidency, demeaning the cops, screwing over the veterans, putting energy workers out of work with his silly regulations, I could go on, but I really have to get back to work.
Umm, people suffering without insurance? - Which planet is that?
[ In Reply To ..]
Millions more people have insurance plans now than before Obamacare - I know, because I am one of them. I could not afford insurance for 5 years and did not qualify for Medicaid in my state before Obamacare. My premiums are reasonable and the high deductible does not have anything to do with copays on regular visits and prescriptions, so I don't know where all of this ridiculously false information keeps coming from - probably some far right publications - that you guys keep spouting off, but Obamacare has been great for millions of people in this country.

As far as the violence in the streets and racism that Obama supposedly promoted - no such thing. Violence in the streets has and will continue with Trump in the White House because he is severely unqualified for the job and is doing everything he can to show it instead of trying to learn how to do it more effectively. The latest disgusting thing he has done is practically bribing the hold outs with 8 billion dollares (not nearly enough) into voting for the new health care plan to get rid of Obamacare that will make it much more expensive for anyone who has a pre-existing condition. I know some people on this board like to think that all of those conditions are self-inflicted, but that also is untrue.

The glorious republicans also passed that bill that gives employers the right to stop paying overtime and give you time off instead. Of course they get to say WHEN you can take your time off, so not really a perk after having slaved overtime hours. So really, let's take a look at who is on vacation on another planet shall we???
