Washington Post got it WRONG as usual - Trump was READY to be president.

[ In Reply To ..]
The issue is that he lived a relatively easy luxurious life with people who loved him and had everything a man could want and he left it behind hoping to make some positive changes for people who are not as happy or wealthy as he is. He did not realize how ugly career politicians are and they do not care about the common good but just making money from big business/lobbyists.

Trump was ready. The career crooks were not ready to deal with Trump to make the US great again. They want business as usual, eliminating the middle class while taking bribes that sell out the middle class.

No, it's that he was wrong thinking he could - change the way politics

work. It's also because he is a conman and is no better than they are. I would really like to see someone in there that would stand for all of us but it is not him. He has a track record of being a shady business man and that doesn't represent me or anyone of us.

He wasn't ready - old and burned out

[ In Reply To ..]
He could have spent the time from the election until inauguration studying up on how government works but I guess that's too much to ask from a man who knows everything. Now he is doing what he criticized Obama for - trying to govern by executive order because he doesn't know how to get legislation passed. Obama did it because he had an opposition Congress. Trump has majorities in both houses and he still can't do anything. He is signing more EOs than Obama, playing more golf than Obama, spending more taxpayer money than Obama yet his followers still think he is going to MAGA. What a sick joke!

Do you think you should get a tax refund? - Quit harpying on that subject

[ In Reply To ..]
If Trump did not spend taxpayer money, it would go to a corrupt politician who would create a fake job for a contributor.

The government consisting of crooks is not going to refund your money no matter how old and burned out you may be.
Non sequitur - old and burned out
[ In Reply To ..]
Did I say anything about a tax refund?
You imply that when you harp on Trump - spending "taxpayer" money
[ In Reply To ..]
and I am saying you will never get a tax refund even if Trump did not spend "taxpayer" money because it would go to some idiot corrupt politicians project to pay back their big bucks contributors.

No one in politics is worried about "taxpayer" money.
I made no reference to a tax refund - old and burned out

and I mention Trump's spending because for years there was comment after comment on this board about how much the Obamas were spending on golf and their vacations. Now that Trump is spending even more, none of his supporters mention it.
I am with you but Bill Maher actually put it - in perspective last night
[ In Reply To ..]
He points out what he thinks drives the Trump voters and why they will never ever change their minds about Trump, would follow him anywhere.

"I think it's because of a gut feeling that the world has changed and they don't like it."

Pretty simple, pretty accurate. Probably Trump supporters would never listen to Maher, but my fellow progressives will enjoy this.

We can see on this very board that of which he speaks.
Thanks, enjoyed that - old and burned out

Don't want to pay for HBO but he makes that decision difficult sometimes. I do think he is correct.
Hilarious! - brim-filled ashtray

We got them voters right hyar on this hyar board too, and they don't like what the world has come to, nosir!
I have NEVER commented on Obama's spending - "taxpayer" money, unaware of expenditure
[ In Reply To ..]
The one thing I am aware of is once you pay taxes,it becomes GOVERNMENT money.

It is incredibly ignorant to try to keep track of what any president pays for or what the "taxpayer" pays for. There is nothing you can do about it and to harp on it is a waste of time. There is no politician or government official who is going to say, hey Mr President, we are going to cut your budget because you spend too much renting golf carts or whatever.
You want to be careful - old and burned out
[ In Reply To ..]
about who you call ignorant. If reported, that can get you banned from the board. If you have such disdain for how taxpayer money is spent then why worry about budget deficits or the national debt?
Are you joking...? - Do you have blinders on when it comes to...

posts from your own HATEFUL and NASTY NAME-CALLING party?

ignorant is an accurate word to describe the liberal democrats and is angelic compared to words used by the Trump haters on this board.

Signed,

An Anti-liberal democrat.
Who did poster call ignorant? I read it was - generally ignorant to track a president's
[ In Reply To ..]
personal spending as nothing can be done about it.

I suppose if the shoe fits you can wear it but I do not think anyone was referring to a particular poster as ignorant.

Signing EOs was part of his plan - Truthhurts

[ In Reply To ..]
He campaigned on "undoing" Obama's hurtful EOs, mostly those that hurt businesses and regular people. Let's not forget that Obama didn't have to put up with threats from Iran and North Korea over nuclear weapons/missiles.

He did this because the Dems were refusing to confirm his nominees and een trying to block them from taking office. I don't think any other president has ever taken 100 days to get a cabinet in place. I think even Obama got his cabinet together by inauguration day or close to it.

The fighting goes on in Congress and will go on until the people wake up and get the ignorant "party-only" ones out and replace them with those that care of this country.

I think if Trump would be given a chance, things might be better. At least he's getting input on VA reform and putting veterans FIRST like they should have been.

Let's just see how far the Dems with block any Republican bills during this administration, like they did during the Obama administration. It has to stop being "party first, party only" and they need to start working together or you can say goodbye to this country for sure.

I think some of the Dems in Congress need to go; people like the mentally unstable Maxine Waters along with Pelosi, Durbin, Lewis and Cummings. All of them have been caught up in some investigation lately and the corruption also has to stop. Maxine is doing the same thing

Only thing wrong with that - Resist Trump

is who will take his place.

Crooked Hillary is waiting in the wings - She must be so bored without corrupt politics

If Trump resigns, Mike Pence will be president. The succession does not include Hillary and there will not be another election for the office until 2020.
Well if Hillary can make a case that the election - was fixed by the Russians, maybe she has hope

Just missing her fancy pants suits and watching Bill's wandering eye even though he seems frail/feeble at times. I would love for him to have one last shot at a White House intern. Bet it's on his bucket list.
Even Putin is disappointed - he got Trump elected
[ In Reply To ..]
and now he doesn't even want to meet with him. Hahahaha on Putin. Sounds like he has buyer's remorse.
Hillary is not making the case - Resist Trump

There is a bipartisan committee investigating though they don't seem to be doing a very good job. Hopefully the press will come through once again.

Trying To Quit Smoking..Sep 09, 2011
I've been an active smoker for 15 years. I grew up in a smoker's household, so I don't know what it's like to live without cigarettes around. I've tried to quit a few times, but never could get past the three-day hump. I've realized though, that I smoke to self-medicate ADD and depression, so I think that will make a difference this time. Any one have any advice/suggestions? I don't want to go to the Dr. and get medications for the ADD/depression--to me, ...

Has Anyone Quit Drinking Soda Completely?Jan 08, 2015
I recently decided to quit drinking soda for the billionth time.  I have been a soda drinker since I was around 5-years-old in the 80s as my parents were also soda drinkers.  Everyday my Mom would park outside and send me in to get our daily 6-pack of Pepsi.  I was known as the Pepsi girl in the drug store we used to get it from.  I had always been a small person even after three children (a daughter and twin boys) 5'3" 120 pounds, but after I hit 32 or so, I really star ...
