Deflection?

Posted: Mar 29, 2017

It's interesting to me that all the new posts below have nothing to do with the actions of the Trump administration.  The Trumpeters are still bringing up policies of past administrations and have no comments on all the taxpayer money that is being spent by the Trumps traveling all over the globe doing Trump business.  Also curiously absent are comments on the wall.  Trump has just requested 1.5 billion dollars to build around 60 miles of wall along a 2,000 mile border and guess what - Mexico is not paying for this.  No outrage on any of this.

;

Always deflection! - Any time things

[ In Reply To ..]
are posted about what this administration is doing, there are never responses to them from the right. It always goes into stuff being dug up that have absolutely nothing to do with Trump and his actions. It seems they try to bury all the real issues of today with propaganda or things that have nothing to do with anything current.

Our tax dollars are being wasted so the Trump clan can do their business. Our tax dollars are going to be wasted on a wall. The right seems to support a health plan that hurts so many people, including themselves. Golfing adventures on our tax dollars are of no concern to the right even though Obama's are. More and more things are coming out about the Russian connections within his administration and they just flat out don't care.

Mind boggling to me.

They have learned well from - their master!

[ In Reply To ..]
The students have learned deflection at all costs to distract from what he is really doing. Sadly, when the hypnotism wears off they will see how they have been played.

So true - Nn

[ In Reply To ..]
but I don't think the hypnotism will ever wear off. But I find it so bizarre. How can you really keep ignoring what's really going on? But even more bizarre is why would you want to? Wouldn't you want to know? I'm so happy my sister finally wised up, but then again she voted for him strictly for the Obamacare and what he promised to do and failed. She's not in a trance Jim Jones-type of following either, thank God!

I thought you were describing Obama voters. - My mistake.

[ In Reply To ..]
Would it be worth my while posting a link (one of many) showing the story of the whole uranium deal? Nah of course not. You won't read it, it doesn't fit your agenda. But if you change your mind and tell me you want to read it, let me know and I'll be glad to post it.
Obama was in office from 2007-2016, never stopped the left - from talking about Bush.
[ In Reply To ..]
I'm noticing a pattern anytime HRC or Obama is brought up.
Well here's a fact - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I didn't come on this board then. I don't care about Bush. I don't care about that time. I'm here posting about the present administration. I'm sick of the right twisting and deflecting everything instead of acknowledging this present administration. It's ridiculously old, worn out and doesn't change a thing of a present Russian investigation by the FBI right now on the present administration.
Well here's a fact...since you are making this is becoming a "pissing" - contest, we can respond to your posts
[ In Reply To ..]
as we see fit.

The Russians. Okay let's talk ad nauseam about that. Nothing new has been discovered.

Obama tried to influence Netanyahu in Israel's reelection. Did we talk endlessly about that?

The press is keeping this going to try and delegitimize Trump's presidency.
Call it whatever you want- - sm

Why should we respond to your alt-left propaganda? - sm

If I happen to tune in to MSLSD in the evening, I can make good money on a bet that their fanatical story du jour will be all over this board in the morning.

No thanks to your baiting, alt left propaganda and unpatriotic sentiment.

Oh you mean - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
like the Breitbart article below? Are those your FACTS? LOL, whatever. You need to take up your "propaganda" claim with the FBI. They're the ones performing the investigation, not anyone else. Let's see if I finally get an answer - was it considered propaganda when Hilary was under investigation or was it justified, like this one is?

Pretty much everything on MSNBC is fake news. So now there is always a - gray area, no right or wrong. You believe

[ In Reply To ..]
one side but not the other. Breitbart is "fake news" so MSNBC must be right.
I watch news - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
whether it's CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox, it's news. Breitbart is an alt-right site. It never reports anything right news. This is well known. The news I watch reports news, not just news slanted one way or the other. And I don't even need the news to feel the way I do about trump. All I have to do is listen to him talk and read his quotes and twitter remarks. That's not even news, that's straight from him. When I watch the news, I listen to current events and interviews, none of which are fake.
"The news I watch reports news, not just news slanted one way or - the other." How do you know?
[ In Reply To ..]
What are the sources?

This is what I've noticed about the left. They think they are mainstream but they aren't. Just look at how headlines are worded.

Huffington Post, CNN, Salon, MSNBC, Salon, Slate, NBC, ABC, CBS, all mouthpieces for the left. NYT is nothing but groupthink.

You see bias all the time. They favor the progressive take on things.
The sources? - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
How about trump himself? He is his own source. I need nothing else. I have said this over and over. There's his mouth, there are his quotes, there are his interviews, all him. I know all I need to know straight from the main source...himself. Did you question sources when you were watching Hilary go through an investigation, or news on Obama or the Clintons in general? Did you ever once say "fake news" when it involved any of them?
Yes, I did. I never believed the parkinson disease story. - The media never vetted Obama so I had to
[ In Reply To ..]
do that myself. I found his ties to Marxism and community organizing myself. I don't have cable, so I research on the internet.

Did you do you own research or just believe anything HRC or Obama said?

"If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor." Did you believe that?
I do my own research all the time. - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I know there are reasons to believe trump is tied to Russia. I know his associates, i.e. Manafort among others, are also tied with Russia. I never believe politicians themselves, ever. I also know Hilary was investigated and came up empty. And no, she's not without faults. I know trump is currently being investigated and no results are in yet. I don't need anybody but trump himself to provide all I need. I never had Obamacare so I know nothing of "if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor" quote. But I'm now talking about the present time, what's in office now and the corruption associated with that. I will wait until the FBI investigation is over to see the results and will accept whatever those may be.

Sorry you don't like them. Sorry it has nothing to do with Obama or Clinton. Unlike the right who avoids and refuses to answer questions, I answered the questions she asked. You don't like the answers, nothing I can do about that.

Because - Resist Trump

[ In Reply To ..]
what this administration is doing now is what is important. You certainly do not have to agree with my point of view but the actions of the Trumps deserve attention and debate.

Propaganda and facts are two different things - I would suggest. sm

[ In Reply To ..]
That some fact checking be done, not by leaning publications to the left or right, to determine the difference between propaganda and actual facts. They do speak for themselves even if you do like to call it alt-left propaganda.

Where do you go for the truth? What you think is the truth might not be. - I watched 60 Minutes with Scott Pelly

[ In Reply To ..]
about this same thing, fake news.

Pelley repeatedly told viewers that fake news was an issue on both sides, but never provided any proof until the nine-minute-mark of the 13-minute video on youtubee with two ludicrous headlines about President Trump using drugs and having cancer.

It was soon after this that guest and “internet advertising firm” CEO Jeff Green dropped this admission that both he and Pelley seemed befuddled by:

JEFF GREEN: So the first thing that we found out is that it is definitely a phenomenon that affects both sides.

PELLEY: Liberals and conservatives?

GREEN: Yes. There is no question they're both affected.

There was yet another surprise in store for these hardcore liberals. After citing a case of left-wing fake news about Congress “plotting to overthrow President Trump,” Green revealed that “fake news readers on the left were more likely to be affluent and college educated.” At the other end, “right-leaning fake news overwhelmingly attracted readers in their 40s and 50s.”

Green admitted that this “shocked me,” and Pelley had a similarly flabbergasted look. Green added that he “thought the same way that many Americans perhaps think is that fake news was a phenomenon that only tricked the uneducated,” but, alas, “not true — just not — the data shows it's just not true.”

When it comes to pushing fake news, 60 Minutes was the one that pushed the fake 2004 Dan Rather story about Bush.

CBS and 60 Minutes have used fake news many times - but they never report on themselves.
[ In Reply To ..]
A few years ago they reported on Ford trucks that exploded, but they set the explosion up beforehand.
It makes more sense if you understand what the "educated" - means today is indoctrinated.

Did you watch the later segment about the grammar school chess team from a tiny rural town in Mississippi? At one point the 60 Minutes reporter asked the teacher about “moving to this tiny, backwater place” whereupon the teacher replied, “No place where people live is ‘backwater’.

The look on the reporter’s face was priceless!

BTW, they won the State championship (IIRC) and their 5th & 6th grade teams placed 8th & 10th out of 600+ teams at the National Championships.
I don't trust Brennan either. I never once saw him when he - didn't exude hatred for Trump. It was

What Trump is spending on himself and his family - old and burned out

[ In Reply To ..]
for travel, frequently for family business, is not propaganda and is well documented. Every trip to Mar-A-Lago cost the taxpayer 3 million dollars. Every day Melania stays in NY with Baron costs the taxpayer half a million dollars. Every time the Trump children travel around the world on family business, it costs the taxpayer millions more. Just answer this one question - why is this okay with you when Obama's vacations were the subject of vitriol? At this rate Trump will spend more taxpayer money in one year than Obama spent in 8. Try to forget that you like Trump and did not like Obama and just answer the question.

Show me some proof of the expenses of Trump - dontseeany

[ In Reply To ..]
I'd like to know the exact websites you get your information about Trump's expenses at taxpayer's expense.

You keep saying these things, but I have not seen any proof of this.

If you have no proof, you are perpetuating fake news.
There are many sources - old and burned out

If it's refreshing to read old - propaganda

[ In Reply To ..]
then read away. It still does not explain why the right won't look at or respond to their feelings on what Trump is doing and has done. They defend his every move.

The right defends Trumps weekly outings at a ridiculous cost to the tax payers, yet still bring up what Obama spent. You get angry if someone brings up Baron, yet post things about Obama's kids. You find nothing wrong with the way Trump treats/treated women. You let him take credit for jobs he created that he didn't. You defend him using foreign workers, you don't say a word about him offshoring. You don't say anything about his kids using our tax dollars for their business. You say nothing about the workers he has stiffed in the past. You defend the Russians. I could go on forever.

Where is the outcry on this stuff???

So more Trump bashing. Same old, same old. - YAWN. Some people just like

Meanwhile, on 60 Minutes Sunday Scott Pelly was "shocked" to find out some of his sources are fake.

No matter what Trump does the left will try to destroy.

I'm not going to give the left a sword to try to stab me with. No debating with alt-left.

Welcome to - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
our world. Everything we post is fake news. We're bashed for watching MSM, so what do we watch? I have asked question after question to never receive answers which would provide a discussion. No discussion ever occurs because questions or topics of concern are ignored/avoided by the right. Trump is destroying himself, the FBI is investigating him, not the "left". There is no debating with the right, alt-right, whatever you call yourselves. It's a 2-way mirror here.

Stop wasting your time on discussion or looking for answers. - Here is why

[ In Reply To ..]
Have you seen 1 Republican on here defend Trump in all of his lies, his tweeting, even when they hear it from his own mouth? Have you seen any of them state exactly why he should be President and what he is doing for any Americans besides the very rich? Have you seen 1 of them post an intelligent response to anything that is going on with Trump's administration regarding jobs, off-shoring, tax reform, new budget, healthcare, spending, education, EPA, his wire-tapping claims, workforce legislation, anything at all? Because they do not know anything about it, don't care anything about it, and even if any of them did, they know they cannot directly defend it with any facts in Trumps favor. They know we are right but cannot bring themselves to admit it. They just say he is wonderful, but can't say why. They say the left is wrong, but can't say why. This is why they are deflecting. I have stopped wasting my time with them.

The only thing the Republicans on here do is insult Obama, Hillary, and any democrat they can dig up dirt on. Did not entirely care for the previous administration myself, so I could care less about their opinions on that. They really know NOTHING about the current administration. They are like many politicians, only interested in themselves, in their party, and could care less about what is or is not best for the American people as a whole.

I've often tried to post for discussion and debate but what did I get in return? Just a lot of dislikes and the same old crappy attacks that you get when you post what you think it truth.

No discussion, no debate. I still post but I don't expect a debate or discussion anymore. I laugh at some of the dislikes and the posts that answer mine but I refuse to get into a stupid argument that goes nowhere. Hate really doesn't win arguments.

Resisting a president before he's even in office for 100 days and the left sabotaging the Supreme Court Justice postiion (He's a good fair judge. He's a good guy, said the Dems before he was nominated by Trump). They were for him before they were against him...especially the liar Schumer. Yes, he is a liar. He's lying every time he opens his mouth since Hillary didn't make it. He was a good friend of Trump when Trump was donating to his campaign but now Trump is the most despicable person he knows. Tell me how that's not hypocritical. Never mind. No answer needed.

What about sour-faced Mitch McConnell stating that they were going to make sure that Obama was only a 4-year president without even giving him a chance? Same thing!

OR how about?

"the left sabotaging the Supreme Court Justice postiion (He's a good fair judge. He's a good guy, said the Dems before he was nominated by Trump)."

What about Merrick Garland? He was a good, fair judge as well adn the republicans refused to give him a hearing for ALMOST A YEAR because they wanted to get someone in there that would be on their side.

It seems all of these people on the side of this poor excuse for a human being, let alone president, only scream foul when it is the other side doing the same dirty things you have already done!

Washington is selling out America.

Return to regular order with separate appropriations for each department and agency. Then attach the funding for the wall to the appropriations for the Department of Agriculture and its food stamp program. That's where most of the money for that department goes.

Good - for them.

Maybe Trump could pay for the wall out of his pocket since he is using our tax dollars to golf every weekend.
