American colleges and universities

Posted: Mar 26, 2017

are now experiencing a 40% decrease in applications by foreign students.  These students pay full tuition and are not only supporting the colleges but jobs for Americans.  This is just more fallout from Trump's policies.  When are his supporters going to wake up?

subsidize scholarships and grants for American students. They are actively recruited. Many institutions would go belly up without foreign students.

Why We Need The Islamic Call To Prayer At American UniversitiesJan 26, 2015
The average college student spends eight to 10 hours a day on a smartphone. Eighty percent of college students report feeling frequently stressed, and one in 10 have been diagnosed with anxiety, depression or other mental disorders. Like the rest of the country, universities are fraught with busyness and competing distractions. Students rush around, faces buried in smart phones and heads cluttered with things to do.Given this grim reality of college life, it's too bad th ...

One Of UK's Top Universities Stole $millions Of Taxpayer DollarsOct 24, 2016
We're talking the London School of Economics here, folks. They don't come much higher on the educational ladder than that. Some people don't seem to understand that the climate warming scam is all about two things: Power (control) and money. The very moment that money and control became aligned with the question of global warming, any pretense at scientific inquiry flew out the window and the vultures (yes, folks, scientists can be extremely vulturish) convened. ...

Colleges Reacted To Threats Of Change By GoingDec 14, 2012
" Now they are $205 billion in debt, with students and taxpayers facing the bill." [But to my mind, that's the least of it. They are NOT doing their job.] "A decade-long spending binge to build academic buildings, dormitories and recreational facilities — some of them inordinately lavish to attract students — has left colleges and universities saddled with large amounts of debt. Oftentimes, students are stuck picking up the bill. Overall debt levels more than doubled from ...

More Colleges Work To Rid Male Students Of TheirNov 02, 2016
Great - more male (?) snowflakes with pansies stuck up their behinds. The male population of this nation is being turned into a bunch of wimps who couldn't fight their way out of a designer messenger bag. Pardon me if I still prefer manly men (and womanly women), and I don't think the male population is infected with "toxic" masculinity or needs any help from liberal university simps. Social engineering of the most extreme (and frightening) variety. You couldn't make ...

Virginia AG Orders Colleges To Stop Protecting GaysMar 06, 2010
By Daniel TencerFriday, March 5th, 2010 -- 5:27 pm Officials and student leaders at Virginia colleges are reacting mutedly, so far, to an order from state Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli that the schools stop protecting LGBT students. In a letter (PDF) sent to the state's public colleges and universities and obtained by the Washington Post, Cuccinelli declared that the schools don't have the authority to uphold bans on discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation when the state ...

"No Fair Wage For American Workers." Most American JobsDec 12, 2012
the people who hold them are getting wage cuts instead of increases. We're ALL in trouble. From the Washington Post: "The stagnation of wages has become an accepted fact across the political spectrum; conservative columnists such as Michael Gerson and David Brooks have acknowledged that workers’ incomes seem to be stuck." "Defenders of right-to-work laws argue that they improve a state’s economy by creating more jobs. But an exhaustive study by economist Lo ...

I know, I know. It can be a bit lame but I've been watching it for years. Who do you think will win this year? I originally thought it would definitely be Jessica Sanchez, now I'm not so sure. That Joshua can certainly sing, although he wasn't my favorite at first, but he has grown on me. Holly has also stepped it up a few notches. Guess it's up to the voters now. ...

One American Dead Jan 18, 2013
Another international crisis . . . terrorists at it again: Fox News has confirmed that one American has died in the hostage standoff at an Algerian gas complex. Officials told the Associated Press the deceased American is Texas resident, Frederick Buttaccio. It is unclear how he died. Earlier Friday, the State Department confirmed there are still American hostages being held by an Al Qaeda-linked group at the gas plant, deep in the Saharan desert. When asked about a report that the grou ...

Why We Are Not Having An American RevolutionJan 24, 2014
Robert Reich's status. January 19 People ask me all the time why we don't have a revolution in America, or at least a major wave of reform similar to that of the Progressive Era or the New Deal or the Great Society -- given that middle incomes are sinking, the ranks of the poor are swelling, and almost all the economic gains are going to the top. The answer is complex, but three reasons stand out: (1) The working class is paralyzed with fear it will lose the jobs and w ...

This is to be presented to Congress today. http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2011/09/08/fact-sheet-american-jobs-act Many of the proposals will favor the retention of jobs in the United States rather than the offshore outsourcing. What BP Isn't Telling You: Not Just An American Problem.Jun 21, 2010
By Jes Alexander on June 21, 2010 WASHINGTON, DC (Herald de Paris) - So much of the handling of this BP Oil Disaster (a name for this mess we are advocating as it does not downgrade the situation, since IT’S NOT A SPILL) has been left to BP, out of the hands of the international science community and away from US federal agencies, I thought I might remind you all of what might happen if this hemorrhaging of crude oil is allowed to continue much longer:  Think Gulf Stream.
