Hahahaha...

Trump and Ryan pulled the healthcare bill because they finally realized they weren't going to get the votes to pass it.  Hahahahha.  Art of the deal indeed!

Very sad...Obamacare is horrific - mt

Thank goodness I was grandfathered in with my BC/BS policy that I had, or I would have had to get new insurance which cost MORE and had a HIGHER deductible. How is that a good plan? The poor woman who cuts my hair had not been on her plan long enough to be grandfathered in, so her policy didn't contain everything that Obamacare required it to (what happened to being able to keep your own plan??), and she had to get a new plan that cost more, covered less, and had a higher deductible. You morons who think Obamacare was so fantastic are delusional!

You are lucky you have insurance--you probably wouldn't under TrumpCare.

Yes, I'm not on Obamacare because it sucked! All you people disliking our posts about how awful it is must either be on Medicaid or getting subsidies (that we're paying for, by the way). Plus, it is totally illegal to tax a person who CAN'T afford to get health insurance!

Obamacare SUCKS. I lost my insurance 3 times - The cost was MORE THAN MY FREAKING MORTGAGE

[ In Reply To ..]
I finally just dropped it altogether. None of my doctors would take it either. Had to drive between 35 to 50 miles just to find someone that took that crappy-A_ _S Obamacare insurance. The deductible alone was more than 3 times what I had before Obama. I LOVED my insurance before Obama and the know-it-all Lib cronies stuck their nose in it. Also, I refuse to have my premiums pay for someone's abortion. Sick of everything and anything that looks, walks, talks, acts like a Demoncrat or Liberal.

Agree 100% I had the same thing happen to me - I finally got so disgusted

I completed every waiver I could get my hands on and repeatedly listed what a major hardship the premiums, deductibles, lack of coverage that I needed, lack of MDs taking Obamacare...I listed it all. I, too, had insurance that met all my needs that I was very, very happy with, but Obamacare declared it "substandard"...what a "freaking" joke. Before Obamacare paid one stinking penny, I had to pay out annually over $ 14,000. My prior insurance had a deductible of $2000.00. Huge difference that even a fact-challenged Liberal/Commie should be able to recognize. I will never, and I mean never, vote for another Democrat just for hardship and financial strain this Obamacare nightmare has cost my family. BTW - I am an Independent. Now begin the flaming!

That's what happened to my son. He is only 50 and now has - no insurance. I worry constantly.

private health insurance premiums who do not have ObamaCare, but blame everything on ObamaCare. After all their complaints about how they cannot afford their insurance, the pictures of their vacation in Mexico are plastered all over Facebook. They are so selfish, they don't care anything about people who have terrible illnesses.

Private insurance - mt

I don't know if you're referencing me for having private insurance and criticizing Obamacare, but I'm criticizing insurance overall. My BC/BS has gone up every year. It IS more than my mortgage now, even though any plans with Obamacare would have been even more! So please don't compare me with those people with private insurance who are going on a Spring Break vacation. I worked all week with everyone else and definitely can't afford to be going on vacation.
If you are criticizing overall insurance fine - but don't call it ObamaCare

There are problems with inefficiencies and greed in the health care industry--from the corporations that own the care facilities to the insurance companies and pharmaceuticals making billions of profits. ObamaCare is just part of a program to help people who could not afford health care become healthy people.

When you say ObamaCare, it is an attack on the low income and the disabled and sick. Get the difference yet?

There's a reason - Nn

that deal was taken off the table. It was even worse. No need to lash out at the people who had NOTHING to do with today's failure. Your boy is the one who wasn't able to fix it. Obamacare is flawed, no question about it, but he should have NEVER made the promises he did without having a reasonable plan in place first.

Compassion for what? That a terrible - bill did not pass?

[ In Reply To ..]
The authors of that bill were much more of an example of greedy 10-year-olds with no compassion than the poster you refer to. It's a bit rich too, after months of the "We won, you lost, get over it" narrative, no?

And you call us snowflakes? Honestly. No, I have no compassion for zombie eyed granny starver (not my moniker for him, google it) Paul Ryan, OR Trump. Ryan is supposed to be a "wonk" or something, but what the heck was that?

Difference between Obamacare and Trumpcare (yes, Trumpcare, deal with it, he owns it now, or whatever it becomes)?

Obama knew how to roll up his sleeves, use his noggin, and work to get his legislation made into law.

I don't know what Ryan's excuse is, after all they have had 7 years of hating and berating Obamacare (and, by the way, not extending one bit of participation to change things they don't like, just voting to repeal it time and again), and this is what they come up with? Absolute junk.

I think the problem is the Republicans have been the party of obstruction for so long they are now peopled with flashy con men tea party guys (like their leader) OR they have simply just gotten out of the habit of making laws (they are called law makers, but...).

You need brains, the ability to compromise, the willingness to listen to all views (despite what the right says, Obama did try to incorporate Republican ideas, but so many were just not workable in the context of health care, like "across state lines" or "tort reform").

The other problem was, Trump promised "insurance for everyone" "less expensive and not better" - and he is still talking like that? Really?

Does he even have any shirt sleeves, has he ever ever rolled them up? The CEO model for president is not working. In fact, if Trump goes on in this vein maybe we will finally realize that CEOs are not worth their millions AT ALL, they are all just parasitic blowhards with huge egos who take advantage of our gullibility.

If I got everything for free - I would like Obamacare too

I cannot afford the deductible so I have no health insurance. Thank you Obamacare. On top of that I am penalized 700 dollars on top of my taxes for not having insurance. I don't make much as an IC. I am a single woman. Where are my rights leftie people? I am not asking for an abortion or for maternity benefits. By the way, I am a cancer survivor with no insurance now. Democrats are not nice people now and I used to be one, never again.

I truly feel bad for you. - sm

Before the ACA, I couldn't get insurance because I had diabetes. It was not a waiting period, it was that I could not get insurance period!

Do you live in a state where they did not take the medicaid expansion? Do you not qualify for subsidies.

I also know I have deductibles, like all of us, and many things don't even count toward the deductible, like routine medical checkups and other things. You can also generally set up payment plans with hospitals and doctors.

I'm not trying to be snarky and I really do feel for you but I don't know your circumstances on your income, etc. Also, check with the cancer institutes and they have programs that could possibly be of help for you to get screenings and such. I don't know what type of cancer you had, but before the ACA, my county offered insurance that didn't cover major medical but I could get mammograms and Pap smears. Planned Parenthood also provides that stuff.

Again, I feel for you but look into some of these options and you most likely can find organizations that can help.
