I have to pack up and move again, after being in this house only barely 2-1/2 months. Some mysterious, "anonymous" buyer has offered the owners cash, and the condition that we the renters be out as soon as possible. That's been emphasized, "as soon as possible." No way to contact the new buyer to ask for any grace period, this is all done through an attorney and it's all anonymous.

We were only told last week Tuesday night. The house manager continues to insist, "we dont know who it is." So I have no way to contact anyone to ask for any grace on moving out.

I have to hire a truck, get this all done in one day, because there is no one to help me do this over a period of 2-3 days, except the house manager will take me to get the truck and help me load my things. my new landlord/house mate will help me unpack. But this is the worst part, packing it up.

I have to juggle work and packing. I need to work as much as possible, but have to be packing and be ready to leave this Friday morning. So barely a week and a half. I am so lucky and blessed, the Lord gave me a small miracle of finding a place 45 minutes away, but I have to get this packing organized and done and ready to go Friday morning.

Prayers if you would be so kind, for my sanity first of all, and finances, and everything to go well without problems. I'm already in tears and overwhelmed from the stress, and trying so hard to stay calm and keep going.

You have rights as a tenant. They can't make you move in just a couple of days. They have to give you notice, etc. Do you sign a contract? Even if you didn't, you still have rights. There should be a local office you can contact regarding this.

I'm just curious, though. Do you have a lease at this place? Laws are different in every state, but it is not unusual that a new owner has to honor a standing lease for a tenant who occupies the property when the property is sold. If that is the case here, you would be doing your landlord an enormous favor by leaving because you LEGALLY would not have to vacate that property. Please check out the tenants' rights where you live. If you are just doing your landlord a favor so he/she can make a quick sale, it would not be inappropriate for you to ask for at least relocation assistance.

In any case, you are being kept in prayer. God knows every detail of your situation and what you need. You can trust Him.

Life can be so overwhelming these days- no matter where you go or what you do, it seems that way. Trust in Jesus, ask for his help and it will come. May your move be smooth and efficient, and your new home be warm and welcoming, so as you look back it was for the best. Things went well during the packing and moving, I am in the new home now and all seems well here. I did trust the Lord to look out for me, I knew He would, but we always fear the unknown, especially when we're so far out on the edge of potential disaster.

He knows what I've been going through, knows what is best for me, and I believe this place where I am now is the small miracle I needed.
