Who does not think our employers "spy" on us

Posted: Mar 8, 2017

while we are working.  Have heard that for years on here.  I have covered my camera on the PC and cable box for years just because of a movie I saw about a landlord who was spying on his tenant.

I think IQs are dropping, and fast...

has opened a lot of doors, both good and bad. In my opinion, technology is becoming very destructive to our lives.

They have to ask for your permission to remote in to your PC and as far as the video I think that's paranoia (and also illegal). I do think they have a way to see which websites you visit on your work computer, though. I hope you don't believe everything you see in the movies.

I once heard that we were all "willingly" helping to fund this project by paying for cable TV, cell phones, and computers in our homes, which helped to build underground fiberoptic networks. I disconnected my cable TV at that point, just in case it was not just a rumor. Then, my "crazy" uncle said that quitting cable TV didn't help much because of the "overhead spy satellites" that can see through our house and pick up our conversations. At that time, I just brushed it off as the ramblings of a crazy uncle, but now I'm not so sure..

This is why we no longer have analog but everything is - digital. They have to be

with haters and completely intolerant people running things, I do not trust anyone. I do believe people and governments spy - just look at Russia.

An aside: It was not too many years ago while at work at a lunch table, I commented on how beautiful the Russian Olympics were. The ladies I was sitting with went ballistic, how Russia was so evil and on and on. How could I think anything they did was good. They were just about rabid.

These SAME ladies now have NOTHING to say about our (even) possible ties to Russia and our government, even the possibility. SILENCE...

If anyone thinks our government does not spy on us, they are naive in my opinion.

Drones, I mean, what the heck is that all about? Militaristic society. Wait until it gets turned onto regular citizens, when there are slow days in the terrorist business...jobs will have to be justified after all.

We will be like Russia soon enough. These poor ladies - talk about naive.

Spies - Probably naive

That is why when something breaks at my house I never get it fixed. You just never know which repair person or cable TV installer might plant surveillance equipment somewhere in your house or tap your phone line. I think you over estimate the sophistication of satellites when they still can't provide reliable internet or TV service. I got so worried that I traded in my iPhone for tin cans and string and use courier pigeons for my mail. Just an observation but this is the kind of fear mongering that occurred during the 50s when people were falsely accused of being communists, were blacklisted and couldn't get jobs and were falsely jailed for treason. If you could listen to yourself you might see how ridiculous you sound.

you are ridiculous - NickMT

why post just to put others down.

here is an idea, stay out of conversations that you have no business in, if all you are going to do is be a jerk.
"I think IQs are dropping, and fast.." sounds like a - put down to me.

(led from the pulpit)

when I hear someone on TV say "our concerns is..." (over and over again with grade school grammar) and then go on a rant to put down poor people or the elderly, yes IQs seem to be dropping.

why for heaven's sake do people care if the less fortunate get help or not, or go to planned parenthood. it is nobody's business. we are not judges, God is; however these people must not think God is up for the job or cannot handle it I guess. If your God is money, I suppose that is different.

If people need help from a country they have put their blood, sweat and tears into because they lost a job due to no fault of their own, or never made it rich during their lifetime and made it to an elderly age, what would be the answer for them. Euthanize, is that where this is going? Or putting people into institutions or asylums again run by the states...to be abused and die in their own feces and vomit?

Tough love is one thing; heartless greed is another.

I know people right now living on MEDICAID, SOCIAL SECURITY, who are ranting and raving that these things should be taken away. It makes me doubt their intelligence. This is not just a few people, it is a lot. They want the benefits, but do NOT want anyone else to have them.

is this a post from Donald Trump? - ParanoidPres

EEOC Tells Employers To Investigate Employees Who Wear Aug 05, 2016
You know that government can’t restrict your speech. Officially. But they can in all kinds of practical ways, just as they can do lots of other things to you without ever really taking an official action against you. Take the famous “Don’t Tread On Me” cap. Congress will never pass a law that says you can’t wear that cap, just because politicians may not like what the cap stands for. Constitutionally, Congress cannot do so. But if you think that means the government can’t come do ...

Elizabeth Warren Introduces Bill To Prevent EmployersDec 18, 2013
I can't for the life of me understand why this was ever legal in the first place. If you have bad credit, you really need a job, right? No brainer. Also, what business is it of your employer's if you have a bad credit rating and why would it make any difference to what kind of job you do? Craziness and another example of stuff that happened when Bush was in office. Witness the drug companies benevolently deciding they will not pay doctors to push their drugs anymore. How the heck was ...
