3 Trump-Russian scandals

Posted: Mar 2, 2017

Though we still don't know exactly why Trump is so supportive of Trump, this article goes through a timeline of events that may or may not prove anything.  It's long but an interesting read and I believe a very fair assessment of why he and his team are being investigated.

;

I was going to say this is incredibly bad journalism, but - Vox doesn't do journalism in the

[ In Reply To ..]
first place....

Vox editor also encouraged riots. I noticed Yahoo is using Vox as "sources" for "news" quite recently.

What a joke.

This site actually has a name - voxsplaining. - It has become quite a joke.

I was at a meeting where that term was used in an obviously - derisive way. Had no idea what it meant.

[ In Reply To ..]
But the speaker was obviously dismissing a very tortured "explanation" of our company bonus (choke!) program that we'd just listened to.

Republicans should start posting the pics of Obama - and Putin everywhere with the

[ In Reply To ..]
caption....proof that President Obama met with the Russians.

Instead of calling it whatever you want, you - should read the article

[ In Reply To ..]
It was a factual timeline and nothing more. It was not a joke or propaganda as the right seem to base their facts on.

I'll pass. - No thanks.

Then you don't have to. It is interesting - though for those who
[ In Reply To ..]
actually care if there are things we should be worried about with this administration, though they make no judgment one way or the other, just pointing to reasons why this is being investigated.
I read it and there's nothing new here, most of it - is rehash from Washington

Just a curious question - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I only found this forum not too long ago. I just want to know if any negative article or "MSM" was considered "fake" when he was in office. And I don't mean by only his supporters, I mean by the very people here now calling the "MSM" fake. Or were they hanging on every word of CNN, NBC, CBS, etc.? I already know the answer, but would like to be proven wrong.
This article is a question re Obama - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
forgot to insert his name in question.
MSM has long been left leaning, but they hid it, 90% of them vote - or have donated to Democrats.
[ In Reply To ..]
They don't try to hide their bias anymore, starting with Obama. You can listen to news clips from all the alphabet networks and they all say the same thing. It's rather comical.

Fake news goes back to Dan Rather making up fake documents about Bush. He got caught, yet he still won awards!

Thank you - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
for answering. I do listen to the news and read because I feel news is news. My question was because of all the "fake" news posts and the hatred for the MSM. I don't share that and was just wondering if the same people who claim it's fake now believed that when Obama was in office. You answered that, and thank you.
I would say there is a big difference between - fake news and just news
[ In Reply To ..]
you don't like. Fake news or facts that Trump disputes or lies about are pointed out by news media and the right calls it fake news.
A good example of fake news. Recently the FBI created a fake - dossier on Trump to prove to him how
[ In Reply To ..]
easy it was to make fake news. The report makes it look like he has ties to Russia. They told him they did this in an effort to get him to back off from his criticism of them.

Buzzfeed published it as real news w/o even bothering to research it, CNN ran with it, and the rest is history until the truth came out.

And I think he does as well - sm

I'm not a trump supporter and the fact he doesn't expose his taxes makes me believe he's hiding something. I don't believe in fake news. I believe that bad press against donald isn't liked nor agreed with and is therefore labeled fake. My question was did all the people who are outraged about "fake" news against donald this outraged when anything negative was printed/reported about Obama and was it considered fake then? My guess would be no, it would have been taken as gospel. My next question would be why wouldn't it be considered fake then but is fake now?
Ask yourself, who wrote the story, is it based on actual facts or - political bias. Did the source come from
[ In Reply To ..]
the New York Times (where all the MSM gets its info, listen to the alphabet networks, they all say the same thing).

Can the story be backed up or is it spin.

I read the story. Same old stuff even though there's no - evidence.

This seems like McCarthyism. Democrats are using the - same rhetoric. Just bring out the

[ In Reply To ..]
old posters of the Red Menace,

The 1950’s called to offer their policies back...

I seem to remember Obama telling a Russian emissary that he would have more flexibility after the elections.

Prepare for endless years of Liberal Accusation - Limbo. Most Americans don't care

[ In Reply To ..]
about this Russian crap or tax returns except the radicals.

No the majority of America - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
didn't even vote for donald, and the majority of America care very much. This won't go away until proven he has no ties to Russia. As long as the rest of his office continues his cover up, we'll never know which is criminal.
If Trump has nothing to hide, - release his taxes!
[ In Reply To ..]
that will go a long way to explain his business associations and whether he stands to profit from cozy relationships with Putin. If it's clean, then great! Put an end to that issue and move on. Because he refuses to release the taxes, it looks like he has something to hide, maybe a lot to hide. Does he? Didn't one of his sons say "a lot of our business comes from Russia"? It does or it doesn't. Prove it, Trump.

I'm not a radical and I very much care - about both

[ In Reply To ..]
I'm a citizen of the United States and I want to know if the president of my country has ties with the Russians and I want to see his tax returns. It's the same thing you on the right should want to see and know. You so blindly follow this guy and don't seem to care what he is involved in. You can blast all you want about Obama and his "soldiers" or whatever you want to call them but never question Trump. Pretty scary stuff.

Instead of insulting me posting the article, why don't - you read it

[ In Reply To ..]
It's not propaganda or alternative facts that the right like to post. It was based on facts. But, most of you won't because you would rather criticize the left instead of learning facts.

No one insulted you. It's the source, Vox, and I did read it. - I'm all for non-stop investigations of connec

[ In Reply To ..]
between Trump and Russia, as long as we look at all of our top leaders, current and former, and look at connections to the Saudis, the Chinese, Ukraine, Iran, and Muslim Brotherhood. And how about Hillary's Russian connection with uranium?

Lets get it all out there.

I do appreciate your - honesty

[ In Reply To ..]
I am stepping out the door but will read your link and post more later. I do agree all connections should be looked into but my post was talking about the current president.

sorry, I meant the link below - nm

I'll add another one, investigation into Obama trying to - change the outcome of Netanyahu's

election. Did the media investigate that nonstop?

Cash flowed to the Clinton Foundation amid Russian - uranium deal. I've never heard any

[ In Reply To ..]
explanation from 0bama or Hillary as to WHY she sold a strategic material to our enemy, and I want to hear her response under oath.

Uranium - Jesus

[ In Reply To ..]
There's a reason you never heard an explanation of why Hillary sold 20% of US uranium to Russia: it didn't actually happen. And it's a good reminder of why you shouldn't get your news from Mr. Trump, who has never had a decent grasp of truth or facts.

Here's what Politifact had to say on the subject:
http://www.politifact.com/wisconsin/statements/2016/sep/30/donald-trump/nuclear-claim-donald-trump-says-hillary-clinton-ga/

Some key points:
- Russia bought a Canadian company that owned mining rights to about 20% of the US capacity.
- Important note: that's *capacity*, not actual uranium.
- The State Department, under Secretary Clinton, did indeed sign off on the deal. It was one of *nine* federal agencies that signed off.
- Russia and the US have had a cooperative relationship on uranium for years, long before this sale. They send us enriched fuel from decommissioned warheads, we send them raw uranium.

To quote Gertrude Stein, "There's no there, there."

The Russian frigate, Admiral Grigorovich RFS-494, crossed through the Bosphorus Strait “a few hours ago” from the Black Sea, according to a U.S. defense official. Russian Embassy In UK Responds To Sanctions OfDec 30, 2016
The Russian response to Barack Obama’s announcement that he was expelling 35 diplomats over the alleged cyber attack on the US election, was fast, and in some cases, rather amusing. As officials in Moscow said that US diplomats would be ordered to leave in a tit-for-tat response, the Russian Embassy used Twitter to make its point with little panache. “President Obama expels 35 🇷iplomats in Cold War deja vu. Everybody, including the American people, will be glad to see the last of th ...

Why Are The Russian Threats Of Nuclear War Receiving So LittleOct 14, 2016
It might be that Putin is bluffing, of course, but if so it would seem very foolish on his part if he had to back down - and I don't think he'd paint himself into that kind of a corner. He's not a fool. Even so, it still shouldn't be a back-page story IMHO, because this goes along with the polls showing that the Russian populace has been "educated" by their government to believe that the United States is their greatest enemy. We haven't had this kind of overt ...
