I think the point is that celebs have zero credibility in anything other than their egos. - Nobrainer

Picking just one example, climate change is cyclical and has/will occur without human influence. However, human influence has increased global warming. So, while celebs push globam warming, they aren't in any way authorities.

Indeed I am a Republican, however, I also use data and facts to understand that the melting ice shelf in the Antarctic is an indication that global warming is a reality. Is it caused by "regular" people such as us, likely not. Is it caused by industry and those big 'ol private jets celebs like to fly in - probably.

I guess my point, and I apologize for veering way off, is that celebrities are typically self-involved, low IQ types who will do anything to remain relevant, including pushing current trends and "agendas." We'd be far better informed with scientists than celebs. If the science points more toward global warming and climate change being a reality hastened by humans, well, it's probably likely.
