Trump is bringing the country together

Posted: Feb 10, 2017

Trump is bringing the country together against Republican policies.  People are finding out that Republicans plan to take away their healthcare and have something to say about it.  Rather loudly.

Ask Reps. Jason Chaffetz of Utah and Diane Black of Tennessee, both Republicans.   See link.

More paid protestors. - Next.

Completely untrue - if it were paid I could afford to go

[ In Reply To ..]
Yeah, and about that, what Spicer said about liberal "paid" protests is absolutely the opposite.

Astroturfing is a term that was actually made up to use for the "tea party" - which was COMPLETELY initiated and funded by the Koch brothers and others.

Keep telling yourselves that though. I think the real "tell" is that the things liberals yell out to weasels like Chaffetz are actually the truth and real worries, whereas the stuff yelled out at the tea party town halls were things like the "death panels" - well, that happened, didn't it? Not.

This stuff people are complaining about now (not necessarily liberals either, just regular constituents) is stuff that is already happening or will be happening, not made up fantasy.

Yes, they say 30% of Republicans do not know ACA is Obamacare. - enlightened

LIBERAL MONEY TALKS - Truthhrts

[ In Reply To ..]
Back in 2007, the above headline and article appeared in the Washington Times and this is what has been happening in this country today....obstruction and protests mostly using uneducated college students who think they're doing the right thing when all they're doing is playing right into the hands of Soros anpushing his agenda. (I've got a lot more on this subject, too.)

_______________________
The liberal wealthy super-elites who control private tax-exempt foundations have discovered success in controlling politicians and bankrolling activist organizations ranging from open borders advocates to radical environmentalists. It is especially frightening, though, to witness a recent phenomenon whereby just one of these amoral financiers, George Soros, manipulates the media by stifling and smearing center-right political voices.

Mr. Soros infamously said “the main obstacle to a just and stable world is the United States.”

Mr. Soros’ motivations, and that of the Open Society Institute and his other foundations, are hatred of Christianity and his notion that “fascists” and “right-wingers” must be counterbalanced by a more powerful left.

The billionaire George Bush-hater is perhaps best known for massive funding of MoveOn.org, a group that opposed the 2003 Iraq invasion and supported Sen. John Kerry for president in 2004. Its mission: create pressure upon the Democratic Party to move it more to the left. But Mr. Kerry was defeated, so new tactics were required by the left-wing elites to hasten the changing of America.

Mr. Soros and his colleagues at the Tides Foundation see themselves akin to a beekeeper. While all the bees in the hive — the news media — fly about in many directions, the left-wing financiers believe they have found a way to simply move the entire hive to the left.
That is where the Soros-funded, D.C.-based MediaMatters fits in.

According to the benign description on its federal 990 federal tax form, the 50-plus employees of the watchdog group work “to notify activists, journalists, pundits and the general public about instances of misinformation providing them with resources to rebut false claims and to take direct action against offending media.” At least two liberal bloggers, Oliver Willis and Duncan Black, are full-time employees. They are allied with other leftist bloggers to vilify those they want to silence or intimidate.

MediaMatters teamed with MoveOn a few years ago on a project which attacked the Maryland-based Sinclair Broadcasting Co. for preparing a television documentary on presidential candidate Kerry and his Vietnam war service. (MoveOn received millions from Mr. Soros, especially for its anti-Bush administration and pro-Kerry advertising.)

When conservatives like Rush Limbaugh or Fox News commentators address policy issues, MediaMatters disseminates everything from “fact sheet” refutations to complaints and outright smears. Even liberal media personalities get slammed if they report stories critical of liberals or Democrats.

The object of the group’s attacks are to ensure that journalists don’t follow up on story angles advantageous to the Republican agenda or the conservative cause. The result? The big three television networks, mainstream newspapers and the Associated Press are tending to view “conservative” sources as tainted or disreputable. (So when a conservative or Republican source breaks a news story that could potentially damage some liberal politician or cause, the mainstream media is hesitant to follow up. “That’s just a Fox news story,” is one typical MediaMatters complaint.)

Some journalists are citing MediaMatters in their reporting, including Bob Herbert of the New York Times, Joan Vennochi of the Boston Globe, Nick Madigan of the Baltimore Sun and Anne Marie Cox of Time. “The O’Reilly Factor” reported that Frank Rich of The New York Times and Rosie O’Donnell of ABC-TV have been parroting the group’s propaganda, and that Howard Kurtz of The Washington Post and CNN apologized for relying on some erroneous Web site information.

Yet few journalists dare to criticize the group or its bankrollers for fear of inviting attacks upon themselves.

Consider that the Open Society Institute has given over $17 million to the Tides Foundation between 2001 and 2005. Tides then shamelessly turns around and grants MediaMatters $3.3 million between 2003 to 2005 (the latest available years its tax returns are available). The leftist Center for American Progress receives grants from Tides and Mr. Soros and, you guessed it, funnels it into MediaMatters. And yet another group called the Democracy Alliance, funded by Mr. Soros and other limousine liberals, donates to MediaMatters.

The good news is that the mainstream print media’s circulation numbers continue to decline in all of the major urban markets across the country. The big three TV networks, though still influential with millions of viewers, are witnessing decreased viewership because Americans yearn for new information and different points of view. Conservative-oriented cable TV programs, talk radio and center-right Internet activists continue to draw more viewers and listeners away from the mainstream

From the first paragraph.

Personally, info from both of those sources is suspect to me. And I read the entire thing and it does not seem to address paying the protesters at all.

Everything I read about Media Matters, even in this extremely biased story, says it is getting the truth out there - NOT propaganda.

From your story:

...the 50-plus employees of the watchdog group work “to notify activists, journalists, pundits and the general public about instances of misinformation providing them with resources to rebut false claims and to take direct action against offending media."

Yeah. That's all good according to me. Talking about misinformation being corrected and rebutted, NOT attacking based on nothing.

Frankly, I personally feel there are so many right wing/conservative websites and commentators out there (who take in massive amounts of money), I for one am glad someone is funding an organization that tries to point out the lies and gets at the truth.

Again, any proof of protesters being paid at all or is that just Spicer, Sean Hannity et al flapping their mouths again?

in the first paragraph. First sentence. Didn't read it? So, you went to the trouble to google it and you didn't have to because i put the article there.

Well, all I can say is if you like Media Matters, you like George Soros and your priorites are a little messed up IMHO. I don't like anarchy or progressives who want to destroy our country.
I did read that sentence, saw nothing before - maybe my eyes are bad or you edited it?
[ In Reply To ..]
If I truly missed it, I am sorry, but funny how I can remember reading the rest of your sentence (about having a lot more on the subject) but not that.

As with Hillary Clinton, I do NOT see why Soros is so terrible. My priorities are not messed up. I read your entire article and do not see what's so horrible about a site that is trying to spread truth instead of propaganda. If that's what George Soros does, more power to him.

I don't like anarchy either. We are pretty much experiencing that right now with a president who has no idea how to govern and basically is refusing to.

I am certainly NOT a member of the "progressives who want to destroy our country."

Progressives in general love this country just like you do, they don't want to destroy anything except maybe the choke hold that the Republican party has on our congress due to the combination of gerrymandering, suppressing the vote, and lying.

Like mine. By the end of the day, I can't tell some letters apart because of blurry sight. Seriously, it's well known that your brain doesn't read every word in a sentence or every letter in a word.

I don't like Soros because he doesn't hve any love for our country. He is someone who brings down the economies of a country. Ask England and France about that. I don't like Soos because he worked with the Nazis in WWII until he came here. In fact, he should be listed as a war criminal because of it. They kick other Nazi sympathizers out of this country for doing less.

I don't like Soros because he does want to destroy this country through open borders, diminishing our power, wants the new world order, against capitalism (which is funny because he is a capitalist through his hedge funds that helped destroy the economy in 2008 through the subprime mortgages), and redistribution of wealth across the globe. Through his many donations to alt-left foundations, he is helping anarchy.
P.S. I forgot to add this: Not only does he hate - Truthhurts

capitalism, but is pushing for expansion of all social welfare programs funded by escalating taxes (sound familiar in other countries like Greece?), and favors racism by ethnic and racal preferences in favor of nonwhites.

He does this with his Open Society Foundation which donate funds to hundreds of groups that are attempting to do the above.

I could go on and on but it would take every emgabyte on this site. :)

Someone, maybe the Russians, exposed part of a Wall St speech made by Hillary in which she told them that when she is president, she will keep the border open. The media never spoke about this at all. Why would a candidate tell Wall St she would keep the borders open. They don't report on stories that may lead to the truth about them.
