This circus never ends.

Who cares about Ivanka's clothing or jewelry line? - There are bigger fish to fry.

[ In Reply To ..]
I, for one, am concentrating on the big picture and not paying attention to all these little dribs and drabs just trying to find dirt on President Trump and/or his family.

I care that his administration - is promoting his family business

[ In Reply To ..]
Of course people on the right see nothing wrong with this but it is wrong. That office of the presidency is not a commercial for the Trump business.

I would buy them if they were made in USA, not China - nm

Here's another - tid bit

[ In Reply To ..]
They are really pushing it. Hopefully they will get thrown out on their butts.

Can you imagine the outrage from Republicans if Obama - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
had used the presidency this way to pad his personal coffers? What if Obama had been in charge of the Yemen raid where Trump lost a Seal and a 75 million dollar aircraft? The hypocrisy is astounding.

Um - Vin

[ In Reply To ..]
That raid was planned under the Obama administration and should've been canceled since it was already compromise from the get-go. I do pin that one on Trump or his administration unfortunately. As for personal coffers being filled, have you checked Barry's net worth lately and compared it to just 8 years ago?
I am sure that - anonon
[ In Reply To ..]
since President Trump has not pointed a finger at Obama and called it a mess that it was not completely from Obama's administration. Also as far as his net worth, Obama never tweeted about buying his books or had hotels that he made sure foreign dignitaries used to be able to profit from them. Not quite the same there is it?

Trump - is

[ In Reply To ..]
is conning our country every day more and more. He is a conman that is playing all of us for fools. He is getting away with it because he knows the game of con. He knows the rules (at least some of them) and knows how to break them. I seriously can't believe this man conned so many people into voting for him. I certainly hope he slips just once and they nail him to the wall. So sad that most of us see this yet the right still defends him.

No president we have ever had has put this country to as much shame as this guy.

You're right... - it is a distraction

[ In Reply To ..]
It's improper and unethical for the president to promote his daughter's clothing line, it is improper and unethican for Kellyanne Conjob to give the clothing line a free commercial on TV, but those are just small symptoms of a much, much bigger problem with Trump and his businesses intermingling with his office. That is worse than "dirt" on him and his family, it's unconstitutional and what's worse than that, he flaunts his disregard for professional, presidential, constitutional behavior.

It is not the job of the president - Resist Trump

[ In Reply To ..]
to turn the White House into a shopping mall. Ivanka can take care of herself.

Everyone should care that groups are taking away our freedoms - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
to purchase what we want. That's one of the biggest "pictures" we should be focusing on. The freedoms that this country was founded on. There should be no reason why she cannot sell her clothing, jewelry or any line she wants anywhere she wants and you and I and everyone else should have the freedom to purchase it. Otherwise they need to go move to North Korea.

What this has done is these chicken-sh** companies who are backing down from the terrorists threats and not selling her line or anyone elses cos some commies want to dictate what she can or cannot sell should get shipped off to the other countries.

What this does is enrage people more and they will boycott those stores who won't stand up for what's right.

Nobody said - anything

[ In Reply To ..]
the right to buy her clothing. It's that they turned the White House into the Shopping Network. Stores can sell whatever products they want and not sell any products they don't want to.

A dictatorship in the making.

Don't worry about it - we can't

[ In Reply To ..]
afford her clothing and jewelry anyway, even if it WAS made in the USA, which it is not. She can probably find a retailer to merchandise her line for her. If Nordstroms says it isn't selling for them, she can go out and look for another retailer, just not the White House.

Nordstrom has the right to stop carrying a line - that is NOT selling

[ In Reply To ..]
That's the reason they are giving, and I for one believe it. I am sure they do it every day with lines that no one wants to buy. The reason it's not selling is not their problem.

Hey, TJ Maxx apparently told their employees to tear down any signs about Ivanka's brand and instead mix them in with the other clothes. I can sometimes afford some things at TJ Maxx, but of course I would never buy anything of Ivanka's.

You guys could, though. Do like Kellyann told you to and make a statement, go right ahead.

Now that's the freedom and power of consumerism in America. You want to support Ivanka, go out to TJ Maxx and search for her stuff and buy it.

Sounds to me like you are actually advocating - the North Korea way to do it

[ In Reply To ..]
We live in America, where no one is forced to sell or buy anything, and if it ain't selling, they are going to take it off the shelves.

I don't believe those taking Ivanka's line off the shelves are bowing to anything but the almighty dollar, just like they would with any brand not performing.

Do you think they should keep it on the shelves if it doesn't sell? Why would they do that? It's almost like you want them to be forced to sell something that doesn't have any demand.

And while we're on the subject, Nordstrom's stock price has risen because of Trump's angry tweeting! Yay, consumer dollar power!
Exactly the opposite. It sounds like the other posters - who want to take away the rights
[ In Reply To ..]
of freedom to buy or not buy what we would like are the ones who are advocating the North Korea way. Don't like a political party, then hey, lets boycott anything they do.

So, no, I don't want them to be forced to take something off the shelves because the commies are boycotting, protesting and having childish temper tantrums.

That's okay though because it shows me what spineless fractions of human beings they are to cow down to the threats.

Never liked their stuff anyway, just is a shame that they bow down. I'll bet if Hillary's Mao suits were there they would sell them no matter whether or not they were actually selling. That one doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out.

America is supposed to be for freedoms, not what the dems/coms are doing.
It appears like you don't fully - understand what
[ In Reply To ..]
the issue is and what the post is about. This has to do with Kellyanne going on TV and pitching a sales ad for Ivanka Trump's clothing line. Kellyanne is an employee of the President of the United States and broke a federal law. This post has nothing to do with who's selling what.

Oh mama mia. Talk about a lynch mob mentality - Insert rolling eyes
[ In Reply To ..]
Oh pullease...she was not marketing Ivanka's stuff. People are twisting her words into something that was pretty innocent. So she liked the clothing line or jewelry line. She wasn't out there marketing it or making money off of it. She said she liked the clothing line. Big deal.

Maybe people should stop worrying about what someone says they like and start worrying about the real crimes that were committed during the last regime.

My prediction is this will blow over. She didn't really break the law, she just said that she liked her clothes and go buy them. What's next. if she says she likes Hebrew National Hot Dogs they'll lynch her. Oh wait, that's what they are doing right now.

Sheesh and Oh brother!

I'll focus on the real crimes that people are finally going to be held responsible for. Not some minor instance.

My prediction is she will probably get a reprimand and that's it. In fact that's all that should happen. Sorry dems are not going to get their way with this one.

Time to focus on the important stuff. This is not. Just a waste of time trying to get the focus off of their wrong doings.

Okay, got my flame retardant suit on. Flame away.

Oh yeah...It's the most wonderful time in 8 years. Yet some "kids" are protesting while Trump fans investing..... with each staff member Trump picks Democrats up to their old tricks....

Ahhhh...the more the democrats get out of hand and whine the bigger the smile is on my face.

By your comment, it appears - that
[ In Reply To ..]
you do not understand what conflict of interest means. Even though, unfortunately, the president and vice president are not held to this, everybody else in is administration is. Out of her own mouth she said she was giving a free commercial. That is breaking a federal law.

She really did break the law and it is not a trivial thing.

This whole administration is pushing the line, in my opinion has crossed it on many things. My hope is our government will make changes to laws that prevent this disaster of an administration from happening again.
I'm waiting for them to hold the last regime responsible - for breaking laws
[ In Reply To ..]
Then we can focus on what's going on now.
Her exact words - Jesus
[ In Reply To ..]
"she was not marketing Ivanka's stuff. People are twisting her words"
"She said she liked the clothing line."

Yes, except her exact words were:

"Go buy Ivanka’s stuff, is what I would tell you. It’s a wonderful line. I own some of it. I fully — I’m going to just, I’m going to give a free commercial here: Go buy it today, everybody. You can find it online."

There's no need to twist anything she said. It's plain as day.
If you tried to boycott the one political party in N Korea - you would probably be shot
[ In Reply To ..]
My point is that thanks to our extremely consumer-driven economy, and also thanks to our freedoms, where we spend our meager dollars is really one of the only ways we can express ourselves/protest/support anymore.

Most of us are so busy working as many hours as we can because we are paid so low we could not participate in protests even if we wanted to (I would like to - no time off, no city close, no money).

So personally, if people can make a difference and protest Trump by withholding their dollars for an overpriced, manufactured in third world Ivanka brand, I say more power to them. If I had the money to buy that junk, I would stop buying it too in protest!

Who cares? - Jesus

[ In Reply To ..]
Well, obviously Daddy Trump cares, since he's made an issue of it.

Ahhhh, so this is what it's REALLY about - political, nothing more

[ In Reply To ..]
It has nothing to do with whether or not it is selling good or not. It has everything to do with some communist group that didn't get their way when the communist lost. It's sore losers hiding behind "Grab Your Wallet" boycotting any store that sells Ivanka's clothes or accessories and it's about the coward stores that are caving in.

I read an article that said her clothing was selling way before her father said he would run. The clothing and accessory line should stay. Though I am happy to say I'm glad she is not selling at Nordstrom anymore. They were always snooty and their clothes are ugly and over priced. I have found some other stores and places through the internet where you can buy her clothes if you want to. The other stores...well I'm boycotting them because they don't have a spine and caved in to a political activist/anarchist group. Shame on them. I've got a list of all the stores and sending it to my friends. I think people should start boycotting them.

So it's okay for the right to boycott - but not the left? nm

[ In Reply To ..]
xx

I think theyalready are. Hate Nordstrom's anyway. - Overpriced and yukky, mostly.

[ In Reply To ..]
nm

Yeah - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
Lets see...KAC - "Buy the clothes" versus

HC - "We came, we saw, he died" or "What difference does it make".

Oh yeah, KAC was so much worse. She must have caused so many deaths when she said she liked her clothes and to buy them.

Jeepers peepers!

I can hear a pin drop - Not surprising - nm

[ In Reply To ..]

Well really, - anonymouse

[ In Reply To ..]
not the same at all. Kellyanne broke ethics laws and gave a free commercial - her own words - about Ivanka's product that directly gives profit to the president under his brand. And you guys are so happy that Clinton lost why don't you get over it and quit bringing her up? I don't have a problem with Kellyanne or Ivanka, but I do think that anyone advising and speaking for the president ought to not cross that line.

How Do You Allow Your Dog To Do Their Business?Feb 16, 2010
So to those who do own dogs, do you walk them, tie them to a tree/lead or just let them wander around the yard (hopefully a fenced yard) on their own? While I was growing up, we raised 3 dogs and all lived to be from 14-17 yo. They were always walked several times a day no matter what the weather was. Never did we have them outside in a yard, nor did we have them tied to a tree or anything else. To my parents, tying them up and allowing them be alone outside was just unthinkable. In two weeks, ...

How Much Does A Business Have To Make Before It Does Not Have To Pay TaxesApr 05, 2011
We've been asking the wrong question. My family has a business. We hire people, so according to the current standards, we should not have to pay taxes. We are creating jobs. However, we have not yet reached that magic number. It's  higher than most of you think. You have to make more than a million a year, much more than that probably, before you get to stop paying taxes. Before you get to that point, you get to save money in other ways. For some of the businesses and government agencies that surround President Trump’s “Winter White House,” the effects of his frequent weekend getaways to Mar-a-Lago can best be told in numbers. $200,000 in lost fuel sales at a large local airport in a single four-day visit this month. 75 no-shows at a new restaurant in just one night. $60,000 a day to pay overtime to sheriff’s deputies who guard the many closed roads, a tab that is about $1.5 million over all ...
